I get a lot of questions/comments about what is the best order to do the rides at Universal Orlando. Today I finally tackle this question. And somewhere with in this video I give the best universal studios tips and tricks that I can offer to you guys. Were coming back got universal and staying at portifino bay in August ! I’m so excited , we come a lot because we have annual passes but have never stayed at one of the big hotels with fast passes , we’re staying for about 2 weeks this time !

Another perk for staying at one of the big three on site hotels is the express passes are UNLIMITED. We always stay at one of those three and it makes our stays so much more enjoyable. Great video as usual Rick. Gave you a thumbs up now bring on the IoA version.

Also yesterday was actually the 20th anniversary of Islands of Adventure's Opening Day. I kinda expected you would make a video of doing all the opening day rides from IOA including:

Love the channel. Would really like to hear on the video or see in the description what day you were at the park as a point of reference to crowds. Was it Tuesday, May 14th (school day) or Sunday, May 26th (holiday), etc. Also, that would allow me to lookup the crowd calendar to see if the particular day you were there was a 3, 6, 9, etc. Good reference point for your wait times. Thanks!

This is usually the order that we stick to except we go on despicable me first like you had on your research sheet! Also hidden Rickey at the top of the “loop” of RRR 14:00

Hi there! I have a question: why would you do Despicable Me first and then Gringott’s? What is the difference? Wouldn’t Gringott’s be a better idea to do first because it has a higher wait time?
@@cindyyu9626 despicable me is closer to the park entrance so you can get to it quicker and it will also get busy quicker

We always did Minions first, then Gringotts. US was early admissions the whole time we were there. The rest was variable. JImmy Fallon was every day too. We stayed at RPR, so we’re spoiled with Express Passes. Keeping these tips in mind in case we stay at one of the other hotels next time. Thanks for suffering through the lines for research!
Express pass makes the day so much better
Rix Flix oh yeah! I’m having a hard time thinking of only having 3 fast passes at Disney.
One thing I wanted mention is that if you do early park hours, you are forced to do Gringotts first, since that's literally the only ride open from 8am-9am. I found that out the hard way when I stayed at Cabana Bay once.

Always with the good idea's for a video, got to be Rixflix. Usually stay at Cabana bay so we get the early admission as it's the only way to get on Minions, then it's usually the Mummy next for us. Best way to start your morning any day of the week. Unless your in IOA then the morning starts with Hulk.
I was there about a month ago. I stayed at the Aventura Hotel, which I liked a lot. I was on the 16th floor, and we had a great view. But I planned the trip a few months before, so when I called Universal Reservations, they gave me a great package deal. They gave me a deal on the Express passes, for a seriously low price compared to the normal price, so for 4 days we had Unlimited express passes. So call up universal Reservations, and ask what kind of deals they can offer you. If you go during a lesser demanding time, they'll give you a deal. But if you go when all the kids are out of school, maybe not. we had a blast, I just wish I had the chance to check out the New Hagrid's Motorbike Ride. It opens June 13th, so we were too early for that. I'm thinking about going back next year. Volcano Bay was fun too, but most of those rides require you to walk up a lot of stairs. The Express pass is awesome. We were practically walking onto all the rides. The Hulk , we did have to wait a little bit, but no where as long as if we were on the regular line.

My MIB shooting score was 99,000 and I thought that was good, complete garbage so bad compared to your score. I like your trick of holding down the trigger and getting bonus points for it.. definitely on the next trip.

what do you recommend, hitting up IOA first, or Universal Orlando first thing early morning? (without early admission i mean)
10:40 I rode Transformers when I was there, but I cannot remember any of it. All I remember is the line, I don't remember anything about the actual ride. I don't know if it was because it wasn't my thing or what it was, but I do remember Spiderman. The line and the ride. It was pretty good.

How often is the whole park open for EPA? When I was there last, EPA was in IOA, and the only part that was open was Hogsmeade. I seem to recall that when EPA was in USF, it was the same and the only part that was open was Diagon Alley. Wonder if it's to do with crowd levels? Interesting. 🤔

Robin Dillaman absolutely! As a family of four, a deluxe resort was a no brained. My daughter and I stayed at royal pacific over MLK weekend last year and express pass was amazing. I am staying at royal pacific again in August, this time with all my kids, and yeah, wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else!

I think it's the crowd calander touring plans that gives you a day to day order of all the rides everyday all day and it tells you how long you will wait for the ride. You may have to subscribe to get it, but it's worth looking at or printing out. The subscription isn't much and is good for a year.

Hey Rick my family and I are visiting Universal Studios for the first time late August and we are doing the 2 park 1 day tickets. We really want to explore both parks in that one day. What would be the best strategy to use in our situation and would the VIP experience help us accomplish that? Thank You and we love your videos.
That or you really need express passes.
Get ready to fall in love!! You'll want to visit again and again.
I also would look at park open and close times. use the Hogwarts express to hop over and plot out what you want to see based on location. you save a lot of time by not running around.
So do I start at Universal Studios side first and work my way into Islands of Adventure?
@@jsaenz666there are several rides at Islands of Adventure where you will get wet, so I'd recommend beginning at Universal Studios and then taking Hogwarts Express over to Islands of Adventure. As someone above stated, since you'll be doing both parks in one day, plan out your rides to save time.
