It’s wonderful to see people just talk stripped away from the Hollywood glamour and mystique. If you can ever get hold of Malick for an interview that would a real treat.
Thank you so much for this man! Ur the single best movie interviewer I know of on CZcams. I hope big big things for you!!! If there's anyway we can support you, let us know!
Finally got a chance to see this recently. One of my favorites of the year. Sharp dialogue, great performances, and has surprising amount of sadness for a black comedy. Fantastic!
It’s interesting comparing how simple and intimate Martin’s premise is compared to how carried away the discussion surrounding this film is. He makes no reference to racism or police brutality or even sexual violence. It’s about a grieving mother, her anger being directed at her community, and how they react to each other. Films should be judged on their own terms, not what we want them to be.
I've been reading and checking out DP's views for close to 20 yrs, probably more, and I've always enjoyed his interview style. I like the laid back approach he brings to these things and there's almost an instant ease with the subjects but not in a chummy, fake way.

Oleg Loginov He needs to make another movie first

Yes! Thank you for this!
Thanks for this interview man. Even your interviewee enjoyed it so you know you did a great job here! :)
Another one of my own stories and the leading lady was very good I was pleased with the outcome well done to all thanks
Fascinating individual.
also he lets the story develop freely, it's a beautiful, organic process that I actually work on myself.
WORD
I like this setup with the mirror. Still kinda hidden but at least we get a sense of you.
I love how he doesn't go through several rewrites or drafts. He goes with his gut instinct.
He wrote this in 5 weeks… ♥
I thought DP was interviewing Sting
Steven Jeanrolus or Jonny Lee Miller
yes he looks exactly like sickboy
Love that deep ear ringing from the mic
Have to say, after my snarky comment I continued to watch and you're a great interviewer.
Martin mcdonagh adapting Shakespeare? yes please!
A true genius
UNDERRATED MOVIE
Man's a fucking genius
Great interview, but why so grainy and dark David? (even with a light)
DARKLYLIT he doesnt really know how to light well, but there’s something to be said about how well it helps me focus on martin’s words
The film was so fucking funny. I just wish it was a less serious topic, it kinda clashes...
most over rated movie/dr of the decade....
odd.
Thanks teenie beenie!
Stormywolf not really, the movie was underrated
