Testing An Incomplete 2 Foot Gauge Rail Bike At The Alexis Railroad 9-22-22

I bought the remains of this tricycle that originally had an electric assist at Goodwill yesterday and it almost fits my track and wheels perfect without any changes! I will make a proper cart at some point but I have bigger railroads to visit and work at for another month or so. Could you extend the wheel rod outward ?

If I add a piece of pipe to make the axel the right diameter, it will fit 2 foot gauge perfect as it is, but I do think I'll make an extension so it can be 3 foot and standard gauge too. It will only have four wheels and hopefully not need the other cart as support! I have another cart I started before I spend more time on this, but I do want this to be my yard switcher if I can put an electric motor back on it.
