Jin Xun An, a promising achiever, is already the chief dentist at his dental clinic at a young age. Although cold-hearted and distant by appearance, Jin Xun An has nevertheless earned himself the coveted title of being the "Master Prince of Dentistry". One day, he is entrusted by Bai Qing, one of his seniors, to treat her precious little brother, Bai Lang.
As Bai Lang seats himself in front of Jin Xun An, he looks at the man with the cold and ruthless look. And while a mask covers most of Jin Xuan An's face, it only helps highlight his deep, electric eyes. Bai Lang then hears his gentle and soothing voice telling him not to be afraid. But almost instantaneously, he finds himself stunned, his heart palpitating and finding a desperate excuse to run away. As it turns out that Bai Lang is not the first dental patient to try to run away from Jin Xun An, but definitely the most troublesome since Jin Xuan An started his career.

One of my favourite confrontation scenes, it was cute and wasn't too heavy. This series is surprisingly good. Jin reminds me of Sam!
Ok but the acting is top notch, it doesn’t look like their acting anymore you can feel the emotions from both of them. I can definitely relate to Bai Lang on this one I’m always hiding my fear is always taking the best of me and yes I’m proud to say I still talk to stuffed bird for comfort. But Xun An line do you believe in yourself was deep, I felt that one. He’s good he’s really good people who have emotional trauma and feel insecure need to ask ourselves that question every now and then💛
No matter how many times I've watched this scene, I always feel the frustration in both Bai Lang and Xun An. Best scene so far in this series. 😭
this whole part looked damn difficult to shoot. all that movement, all those pedestrians, was it all done in one single take? anyway, impressive how they pulled it off

i think they filmed this is a very creative and yet bittersweetway; the way they’re walking while delivering those lines which expressed their mutual hurt and concerns… my heart literally broke into pieces watching this

I think the ending to the episode was confusing to many, as I was because of the sudden change in the attitude of Xun An (XA) towards Bai Lang (BL) but I soon understood after rewatching. The English translation might not fully portray what was said in Mandarin so here's a little analysis from my perspective:
First off, XA's senior was in fact helping BL to realise his true feelings for XA by making him jealous and that this form of jealousy is not just a friendship kind of jealousy but a romantic kind. So when he heard BL was coming up the stairs at the dental clinic, he purposely became intimate with XA to make BL jealous. XA's senior came back and was hoping to reconcile with XA but then realised XA no longer had feelings for him and therefore in the prologue (which was badly translated), he said something along the lines of, his story with XA has already ended and now he's opening up a new story for XA and BL and that it was all up to the both of them now.
When BL suddenly approached XA that he had the same feelings for him, XA was confused then annoyed because knowing BL's personality, he might have just confessed without any thoughts and make yet another hasty decision. What if BL one day suddenly decides he actually didn't like him and the confession was nothing but an act of haste and jealousy? XA didn't want to keep getting hurt from BL's inconsistencies and most importantly, another one-sided relationship (like him and his senior).
XA obviously still liked BL so much, but he wishes for BL to truly sort out his feelings and realise that he truly likes XA back too and not just an act of haste or impulse. The only line I didn't quite like was when XA said "Your problem is not my problem", that hurts a lot considering how I want other people to help me with my problems too. The last line of this episode, "I always trusted you, but do you trust yourself?" was a wake-up call for BL that he needs to move on from this trauma and believe that everything will be fine, and that XA is there to help him, that he won't burden XA at all.
While it's understandable why BL is like that because of his childhood trauma and that he kept choosing to escape rather than face it while growing up. But then XA came along and is and will be the first person to help BL out of this rabbit hole.
Hope that clear things up and hope you guys won't get put off by this sudden plot twist. Everything happens for a reason and one shot take was truly a showcase of the actors' talents.
