Even the poorest of people in the poorest of countries make much more than that, around like 1 dollar a day and I would know this since I myself live in a pretty poor country which largely consists of people living with 1-10 dollars a day at most and I myself also tend to pirate games from time to time but getting something illegally just because you are poor doesn't justify it. If they can't afford a 4 dollar steam game because their monthly wage is only 1 dollar then they probably shouldn't even be playing games in the first place and instead focus on not starving to death
My Antivirus flagged it and killed the game at the DOCUMENT bit and caused this ending back in the day when a friend sent it to me. I was equal parts confused and annoyed. So glad the Steam version doesn't do this.
Honestly it'd make little sense for the Steam version to do this. Imagine paying 10 dollars for a game that completely deletes your progress whenever you exit? While it does play into the narrative that you have only one shot, people would definitely complain about it in steam reviews lol

i wish they kept this but you can choose to either continue on another timeline where the niko you killed is gone for good but you can continue with a niko thats from a different timeline thats still alive
Why are people upset over the game punishing you for not playing the game as it was intended? It's literally called Oneshot for a reason. Its like complaining that dark souls is hard while refusing to use the roll mechanic
