I'm with you on the bigger radiator and putting oil coolers infront, but I'd rather cut a hole in the bonnet, fit a scoop and top mount the intercooler. I'd be worried about road debris clogging it up and stone damage, let alone offroading it. Sounds effin' awesome btw!
I would mount those oil coolers fittings sideways not fittings bottom like you have. and those oil coolers gives radiator heat load. i got only around 420hp from my 606, oil coolers heat (engine and transmission) goes under car and intercooler and radiator enjoys fresh cool air. i had issue with oil cooler installed first, excess heat went to intercooler and radiator, remember that is NO GO if you see one.
Have you considered/tried a top mounted intercooler with a bonnet scoop?
Před 4 lety
Top mounted with a scoop sounds like a common sense solution. However, heat rises, its gonna be hot under that hood. With his configuration a lot of heat is being dissipated through the radiator and its headed up. A hole in the hood (bonnet) would act as a chimney or a path for hot air to escape. Also scoops are useless at idle. Down low is the way to go. Gelandewagens have the highest ground clearance of any road legal production vehicle commonly driven.
Instead of a scoop, use reverse style scoop ( cant remember the name sorry) that way heat will escape at idle and will be sucked out as you drive due to the low pressure at the winshield
Hi! I love your channel, and off course your amazing g wagon! I have a 2000 G500 and just have to know what head lights you got there! They look absolutely smashing!
Hi. Very good result! But why you not using cooler on top of engine, like a toyota prado90-120 and 200 series? Cooler must fit in G tuning top (a'la Brabus nose). I mean it's make possible fit realy big cooler.
That intercooler ain't going to last 2 seconds offroad (fitting a guard defeats the purpose of air flow does it not?). What do you recommend for an off-road setup where you are not wanting such high outputs? What is the peak torque figures for your various engines?
@@CarLos-yi7ne True, in one of their videos I've heard someone say that they do use V12 internals in their boxes. On Friday I covered a couple of hundred miles in a CL65 which has approx 800lb/ft after a remap. The 722.6 gearbox was smooth and predictable, if a little slow by modern standards.
A all terrain vehicle which is not useable in all terrain anymore, what a pitty. I would go for charge cooling and put the radiator (which is much easier to install than intercooler) in front of the both oil coolers. I dont expect any cooling issues with that.
I did use it quite a lot off road with no problems but I know what your saying if you drive it full speed at a big rock in the middle of the road it will bend it, axles and those parts would be fine but intercooler would be bent.
why y'all put automatic transmissions? Its a car meant for having fun right? With a manual you get much better reliability, throttle response and instant power delivery and of course a lot more fun shifting. Also manuals are cheaper
I’m sure Rudolf Diesel would be grinning from ear to ear.

*That one cool G wagon. I love the setup. you have some top-notch rides* Dexterous X
i love this, everything that you do i agree with, sounds awsome

what turbine do you have?
Never thought of this but very very interested, I like this

Love your work!
Hey mate, this is absolutely mad! Love it!
Where did you source the headlight upgrades from?
Amazing job as always one question will the om606 fit in a P4

@@1966cambo Cowl induction.
Mitchell Deliman thanks, had a brain fart...
@ Heat soak from top mount, Id steal the e55 amg water to air intercooler, its long and skinny and would tuck up below the bumper nicely
Would you have complete kit for export ?
I want this G Wagon.
you're greta's favorite youtuber.
Yor G wagen is so cool 😎
With 205mm minimum ground clearance, how big a boulder do the cooler location critics plan on running over? Great video; thanks for the upload.
Do you have any cooling problems with the early dicos ? How do you think they would go in hotter climates ie Australian out back?

I’m going to look at an 87 300td wagon om603 tomorrow, what are some problems i should look out for?
Easier for everyone to just google it mate
Biggest problem is: RUST! Yeah, those G's can be real rust buckets!
what a beast! i wuld more infos about this car and the mods..
W2A intercooler would be the go.
Damn, 6000 rpm!
Good Job, what's about 4x4? transmission ,transfer ext...

ups :) read more comments.. it"s not new idea. But why?
Awesome. 👌👍
The Japanese radiator... Link to seller!?
What transmission is in this g-wagon? Also, does the speedometer work?

Different engine
ok but why didnt you guys just put the intercooler over the engine like a pajero/hilux/subaru?
To mount the inter cooler in this position is not cool because of ground clearance off-road.
Hi, what type of transmission are u using ?
Filip Met, that would have been my same question. But i believe they used the 722.6.
Sugubetu Ivan Ovidiu it can be true, but is it modified? This gearbox must stand very big torque
Filip Met 722.6 was fitted on the S600 bi turbo V12 with 612lb/ft...
@@UpsideDownFork There are many versions of the 722.6 from 2.0 L 4cilinder to what you mentioned. So not all versions can take the same torque.

Do you's tune Bimmer M51 engines?
How long does this miracle accelerate from 0 to 100?
Very nice Video
Could i can give my car to you to modify ?
Turbrooo004 Boost yes certainty drop me an email.
i love g wagens
Have you considered an air to water charge cooler?
Tell me where I can buy those shorts.

How did he get RWD ?
What lights are these for that W460 280GE? Bolt on?
A bit of over fueling smoke. Is this a EURO 6 engine?
Id imagine MOTs are tough with this setup?
Badass!
what is the cost of this build?
Ever off-road it
Intercooler is still in it's place. I'm guessing the answer to your question is "no"...
Mounting the inter cooler in this position is an total disaster if you’re going to use the jeep off-road.
I did use it quite a lot off road with no problems but I know what your saying if you drive it full speed at a big rock in the middle of the road it will bend it, axles and those parts would be fine but intercooler would be bent.
What difrance did you get
"Not yet"
What type of radiator is that?
What engine is that. ??????

Calm down Greta.

I think it’s very stupid to do those burnouts and doughnuts and show them on the channel.
How dare you!? (c)
