- Jalen Green was one of the marquee high school basketball players of the last 5 years. His tremendous leaping ability and scoring prowess led him to bypass the NCAA & head straight to the G-League; where he performed great.

I think Jalen really made a good point the other day, if he did what he did in the G League in college he would be in talks for the 1 or 2 pick. I think because it's the first year a lot of people aren't sure what to make of the Ignite experiment.
I'd compare the G League skill level to that of some top European leagues. Jalen is for real.
Please keep uploading these other nba youtube channels dont know what their talking abt like you do 😭
He has to have the most upside. Straight out oh high school playing against close to nba talent.
He’ll be rookie of the year next year
Most of those guys in the g league have never and will never play in the league
Yeah but he is injury prone. He is very reckless with his landing man. Please I want somebody to tell him so that he can fix it. Watch how mj and LeBron James land and make your own assumptions
Yeah him or maybe cade
I don’t understand how Jalen Green has the most potential?? Is it because of athleticism lmao
Everyone in the NBA is athletic. I personally think Mobley, Cade, and Kuminga all have more potential than him. Green has a lot of development to make and I think some of his physical limitations will hinder him. Lack of quickness, acceleration, strength, lack of wingspan etc. and he’s one of those guys that needs to be hot in order to be effective. What I will say he’s a lot more mature than I initially assumed so that’s good. We will see though.
@@shabaclank3711 thoughts?
Ok, I've seen a lot of Cade because of his college games and he has an 'it' factor the way he stay poised especially late in games. Now watching Jalen, I see a great prospect as well. He has all the tools to be a franchise player. What I like is that he reads the game well, he plays like an assassin and he doesn't have a lot of wasted dribbles and wasted energy, a lot like MJ when he knew he was better than everyone else, he wasted no energy. These are great attributes many don't see. The team with a good eye for talent will pick Jalen. I don't see him going beyond 1 or 2 because any spot lower than 2 is a steal, he's that good. Interesting times.
He’s okay, i don’t think he’s nba ready though 💯
@@ChildishPenguino That's what make it so intriguing. By nba ready do you mean ready to contribute or do you mean he won't be as good as projected? I think he'll be ok initially but will be an allstar in the future with potential to become a superstar talent.
@@ChildishPenguino u don’t know ball bro 😂
Dude, plz keep going I love these types of vid.
Only just turned 19 a couple months ago....looks like a tremendous athlete who will develop more strength and a better shooting game. Agree he's definitely top 5. Great scouting report !
Green is so explosive he is fun to watch. The ignite team didn't feature a lot of off ball movement but with how quick Green is be tough guard cutting and receiving passes from a talented passing big. Obviously the appeal to Green is his on ball production but I think he could be pretty dangerous off of it as well.
i love the end of your videos man. the floor, ceiling, best fit, play comp, so creative. keep it up man
Great vid man! Honestly don’t see how he’s not top3 at least for me. His potential is off the charts in my eyes. Also that first beat fire asl lmao
I think this will be a draft where you just want a top 2 pick. Not just one player. I love cade but this needs to be the cade and jalen green draft. Mobley is a little behind. I don't know if he's more ad or ayton. But cade and green are two players where people will love to say who they think is better but in reality, their value and impact will be neck and neck.
@@julieannegilchrist30 interesting
As a pistons fan, im starting to want Green more...
I was praying yall wouldn't take him man lol
The perfect 2 guard prospect to me
Really like his shot creation
Dude this is awesome. I didn't know a lot about this year's draft prospects but now I know a lot about them thanks to ur vids.
I’m not even sure why people hype Cade compared to this kid.
Because Cade is a 6"7 Point guard who can shoot defend well has really good play making skills and is very athletic he's basically a Point guard with 2 guard skills
@@Amb252 I’m aware I still like green better
@@Amb252 Cade is not athletic. He has very slow feet. He can jump a bit, but highly average in that area. Cade struggled to create separation in college. He used his strength and size to do what he did in college. I honestly seeing Cade having to adjust to the NBA game.
Welcome to H-town !! New season, new hope.. Wall, KPJ, Olynick, Wood, & green
Green has the potential to be the face of the NBA for the next decade plus - rare combination of talent
100%... detroit will regret passing on this kid for the next decade at least. I feel fortunate.... that the rockets drafted this kid
Who’s here after the raptors got the 4th pick?
Let’s gooo
Wow he is the real deal. Has all the skill sets to be a 26 ppg night scorer plus incredible athleticism. If he plays solid defense he can be a star easily in the NBA
I would absolutely LOVE to see him in Detroit next year. My #2 rated player for us behind the outside chance we win the Cade Lotto. Him next to Killian would be a great dynamic duo for this team to build around for the next Decade plus. Huge fan.
Pistons need mobely
Pistons have been in the lottery for like 12 years and have nothing to show for it....I'd bet they mess up the pick this year as well.
@@bluefalcon1728 we have a whole new front office and last year we drafted four players who are good enough to have solid careers in the league as role players at the least. The pistons this decade are gonna be much different from the pistons last decade
Congrats on that #1 pick bro! My rockets will be taking this kid, thank you very much! 🤣
@@King_BeeF That would be awesome! Perfect replacement for James Harden tbh if they decide to take him over Mobley. Kid is gonna be fantastic! Can’t wait to see what he does and follow his career moving forward, even tho we won the Cade Lotto.
Appreciate the love my dude and good luck to your squad!
Might be the best player in this draft when we look back
100%
Dope vid as always man. I like to think that Green's defensive plays during Ignite games should be taken with a grain of salt especially for measures like DRTG. G League is just so offense-dominant and fast-paced that these prospects didn't really get that many reps of set half court defense and thus are less disciplined with their footwork and position. Saw the same thing with Kuminga too.
It's really promising that he shot 36.5% from NBA 3-line and iirc if u take out the first 3 games where he was clearing still adjusting that number gets close to 39% or even 40%
Great analysis. Who do you believe is the better prospect between Cade and Jalen?
Jalen Green and Cam Thomas are the best players in the draft. People can hate my opinion all they want, but if there was an open gym full of the draft prospects, and nobody knew who they were, Jalen and Cam would stand out the most.
Sad that this has 5 likes
Like really, Cam Thomas??????
@@Michael-jd2ki. At least he bucket, but he can do much more than that lol. But he’ll always have a place in the league
@@Michael-jd2ki Watch. In 4 years, there are going to be videos titled “How Did Cam Thomas Go So Low in the Draft?” and stuff like dat
Getting buckets isn’t everything lotta the top guys are there cuz they do it big on both ends and are better playmakers like the kids potential as a scorer off the bench but you gotta be elite in other areas to be among the best. Judging off one open gym maybe but we all know that doesn’t equate to how somebody will hold up throughout 82 games or how much value they could potentially bleed in those 82(especially scoring guards that have shaky all around games)
@@TheMissinLink Cam is actually a good defender despite the casual narratives. I wish I could send you his SynergySports profile. His Points Per Possession on Offensive is in the 87th percentile (Which has an “Excellent” rating), and his Points Allowed Per Possession is in the 52nd percentile (Which has a “Good” rating). Scoring and preventing your man from scoring are the two most important things in hoops.
Houston really needs to take this guy
Him and Porter Jr? They're the same player. Could be great, could be Harden and Westbrook.
They just did
I was waiting for this video ever since the last one lol
Happy you’re back doing these ready for the 2nd round guys to get theirs too
This is going to be the superstar of the draft. Watch
This kid is special. From day 1 special
Organic nba summer content
This kid will be one of the best to ever play the game, mark my words
I’m sorry bro but he’ll Na he doesn’t have the mentality or gift if that type of player like lebron mike or Kobe
@@cchav1925 just wait and see
@@Amb252 I’ll wait
@@cchav1925 bro, you must haven't read up on Jalen Green. Kid was in High School waking up at 4AM everyday to workout with Steph Curry and make it back for school. This is not a normal talent or a normal individual.
@@cchav1925 Few years in and this is looking pretty accurate.
Would love for my Magic to draft him or Kuminga
Not even a magic fan but i would love to see him with Fultz and Issac
Defense is his issue and if we keep cliff which I think we should, his defense will improve
I was hoping for cade Cunningham but after watching jalen green highlights😄
I hope the Magic draft him he's a instant Star.
You're all forgetting that OKC almost has the picks 🤣
@@SuperSoleREAPER wdym
Detroit is waiting for the new Kobe/McGrady hybrid. He's already better than both of them at the same age. Please don't take me out of context. I'll repeat I'm comparing 18 year old McGrady and Bryant not the all nba prime nba players.
Bro, obviously you're a young boy who never saw Kobe and T-Mac play at age 18. Kobe and T-Mac could do everything that Jalen can do an 18 but Kobe was listed at 6'7 and T-Mac was 6'8.5. Both Kobe and T-Mac would be the #1 overall picks of this draft coming out of highschool ahead of Jalen are you serious? Jalen doesn't have the ball-handling nor does he has the passing skills or flair of a young Kobe or T-Mac at age 18. He doesn't even have the size to match their physicality. Jalen is 180 soaking wet at 6'5! LOL Everybody who liked your post are dickheads! LOL
@@WallTrapMedia Sir, I'm not as young as you might. Actually I'm older than Kobe Bryant himself. I watched the draft in which he was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets and them traded for Vlade Divac. So I do have perspective. Yes Kobe was great in High School but he wasn't great his first year in the NBA. As a matter of fact he was playing behind Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel was the pg. Please don't mistake my youthful looking picture. I'm much older than I look. Now that we have thats established. You are seeing through lense of the All NBA Kobe/McGrady not remembering how they played in their early years. It took them a couple of years to reach their emmence talent. Green is already playing professionals at an elite level. With more tricks in his bag and athleticism that both McGrady and Kobe. I'm not saying Green is going to better I'm just pointing out that he's already more pro ready at the same age. So let me correct you because the facts don't support your point. McGrady avg 7 pts in 15 min his rookie year. How about Kobe 7 pts his rookie year. I can't be sure bur Green will start and probably avg more than both in his rookie year. I know they were great but like I said all people remember is the All NBA talents most don't remember there early years to greatness.
@@Truthtella damn you killed him
@@WallTrapMedia LOL shut up
@@lightlysalted8874 he turned him into a convertible sadly
I just want mans to learn how to land better. Hoping for healthy knees and a bright future! 🙏🏾
Best player in the draft. I hope my magic at least offer 5&8 to go up and get him. Trade somebody Bamba, T Ross, rj but this kid is special.
I don’t like how he’s considered inconsistent from nba 3 at 36% but Moses Moody is considered one of the best shooters of the draft class at 35% from college 3
Afro Kobe
A Zach Lavine archetype of player. Needs pace and a left hand hesi move. Other than that, He's gonna be a problem.
@@cilantro9720 thats the dumbest most millennial comment ive ever seen, should be ashamed to call yourself a basketball fan
@@cilantro9720 but also look at the Sacramento kings.. that team is very talented but cant score.. dame is also a hell of a scorer but his defense doesn't exactly help his team get far
@@cilantro9720 Both Dame and Trae are elite playmakers too, so there's that.
Oh I think he has the tools to reach 23 and 24. Jalen is fast, but also zig zag fast. Shooting is inconsistent but so are MJ and Kobe during start of careers. As his body develops, he'll be more comfortable banging bodies on defense via lateral (I think psychologically he is still afraid to get hit laterally due to A&F frame currently).
wdym by zig zag fast
@@miken-n9318 agility bro
100% agreed. Great analysis as well.
Back with another banger
Jalen Green would look great in the Wine and Gold!
Let the man have a career
You meant Rockets red and black
He's not 6'6'' by any stretch but he's every bit as explosive anbd gifted as Ja Morant and Westbrook. Probably shoots better than both of them right now which makes him extra special. If I had a big and didn't have an all-star backcourt I'd take this phenom 1st, no question.
He's my 1st pick, ya'll welcome to take Cunningham, Mobley or Suggs with yours
100% and glad he's a rocket. This type of player is rare and I'm glad I get to root for him on my team. Fortunate
@@jacquesonu5905 Man... I'm a Spurs fan and now I'll have to watch them get cooked, by Luka, Zion, Ja, and Jalen in their division...
gives me young Paul George vibes
all of the shot-creation ability/outside shooting + the uber athleticism PG had before the injury
As long as another pandemic doesn't come around he should be golden then
So he's teaming up with Porter Jr. I'm having the same vibes with this kid.
Detroit neeeeeds to take this young man 100000%
Passing on him will be the mistake of the next decade....
YES SIR!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Rockets. THIS IS OUT FUTURE.
Nahh... rockets front office gonna take Mobley
Drafted
Our*
Selected by the CLEVELAND CAVALIERS (pick 3)
lol enjoy mobley suggs or kuminga this dude is a rocket
Yooo.... this kid looks like the number 1 pick... legit.... after watching both scouting reports... im taking Green...
100%. The Cade propaganda from ESPN and Jay Bilas caused it to go alternatively
Why is his game so similar to the Late Great Mamba?
similar how? That they both can dunk? lol
Praying the raptors draft him 🙏
Same
Same. We need a bucket getter like him.
Sry but Cavs probs taking him
Nahh, u gonna get suggs
@@volume_02 I’ll be happy with either
This kid FIRE, kinda look like MJ, needs a consistent jumper though
Not every pro player comes in the league with a consistent jumper Kobe Bryant didn't have one when he came in to the league but he became an all time great player
exactly what MJ needed to work on at the same age. This is 19 year old MJ. Same "starter package". A lot went right with MJ we will see for Jalen. He has everything though.
Jalen Green 🐐
Quickness and leaping looks a lot like a 19 yo MJ
I thought i was the only one who thought this 🔥
raptors pls
Jalen Green since the first time I saw him, via the internet. .. gave me Kobe - Vibez.
100%
for 6'6" he doesn't look 178lbs more like 195lbs+
Great video!
As a Sacramento kings fan I would love to draft him. We need another star I think he can be that. Fox Haliburton and green would be insane.
I don't think he's going to fall that far in the draft he'll be gone with the first 3 picks
@@Amb252 if the kings win the lottery and get into the top 4
I see a lot of Spida Mitchell watching this dude, if he gets on the right team to make sure his career goes upward like it easily can then he should be a great player
No better place than Houston. The next generational shooting guard
Jalen green to the cavs
Definitely could end up being a superstar. I think it comes down to how bad these guys want to be the best.
Kid was in High School waking up at 4AM everyday to workout with Steph Curry and make it back for school. This is not a normal talent or a normal individual.
Great video
Here after he got drafted
I get Ja Morant vibes. 👌
Where is his defense film
Rockets are definitely gonna draft him
Yessir!
JG and Cade were the funnest NBA prospects to watch.
This dude is the number one pick . Cade is a three level scorers but Green is more athletic with the same skills . He is gonna be able to more. He will also be a better one on one defender .
Good job 👏
Welcome to Houston 🚀
Future cavs
he does fucking remind me of rookie kobe, damn
100%
Great video :)
I see MJ in HIS move.
100%
Can't wait to see him in Houston
just hope we keep are pick i really don't want to be the team to pass on the next jordan
gotcha
Soon to be Raptor lets goooo
i wanna see the end of the yr review on him
Anyone else think he has Kobe like potential?
100%
Especially after watching the MJ comparison videos at the end. There were literally no differences
Great video, however, why list defense as a liability when almost every 19 year old scoring star plays bad defense? I think defense should be considered a liability when they will probably still stink in four years when they learn how to play it... such as slow feet, too skinny for a big.
This guy might be the best player of the draft. But it’s hard not to draft cade 1st overall
This is what ESPN has done. Their promotion of the college game (I blame Jay Bilas) will make the Detroit Pistons suffer for a lifetime. That's with thinking Cade is a very good player. Jalen Green is obviously a different talent. He's so fun to watch because he's doing things that we've rarely seen. This Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant stuff. He has to earn it but he has that same "starter package" for lack of better term.
Do Kevin Porter jr please
Special player btw
plenty of guys have that level of athleticism. its all about decision making and mentality.
YES
To Houston
Hope he's available at third for the Cavs. He could be that special franchise player since Kyrie
I think the rockets take him second over Mobley.
@@gabecote3597 I hope not. They already fleeced KPJ from us lol
@@_Ahmed_15 wdym we sent Jarret Allen for free. It was an under the table trade.
bigger and athletic version of a Monta Ellis, damn kid can play
He's twitchy, but there's some stiffness. I really like him but I don't think the MJ/ Vince or even Levine comps are accurate
I don't think there's a doubt in my mind he's better than Cade. He seems way faster far more coordinated. He's also doing this on 25 year olds with an NBA three point line.
100% agreed. The ESPN propaganda engine caused it to go otherwise. College ball is promoted by ESPN so Cade was made as the golden child. Rockets benefit.
He reminds me of MJ
Goat
I saw a few of Green's high-school and prep games in person, and what I thought I saw, you *DID* see. Freak athleticism, limitless potential. The kind of athleticism that *should* lead to Kawhi-like defensive dominance, but doesn't as of now. Certainly not a bad defensive player, but with that level of physical ability, he *could* become one of those "You ain't even gonna receive a PASS this quarter" kind of stoppers. Will he? Only time will tell...
If the Warriors get this young man, they could have another Dynasty after Curry and Klay. He is like the young Michael Jordan in
his ability.

DETROIT 🙏🏽
Nah have fun with "motor cade" lmao nah that's a sick nickname but yall will forever regret passing on Jalen green.
@@jacquesonu5905 yeah I like Jalen Green I know he’s going to be all star scorer and play maker but Cade is a leader, plays both sides of the ball and not scared to take last shot so we good over here. I wish both of them success they definitely going to be the top two in the running for rookie of the year. You from Houston?
@@merlotst.patrick2601 yeah absolutely wish the best for these two brothers. I think Cade is a generational leader, while Jalen is the generational talent. Not to say they aren’t both good in other areas. I think Cade is perfect for Detroit bc y’all have needed a player like that to bring the team and fan base together. Jalen is perfect for the rockets because we will give him his canvas to make beautiful art. Yes I’m from Houston. I wanted Jalen Green the whole way do everything worked out well.
