You live in a country where it is hotter in winter than in summer, where it is warmer in the north than in the south, where the water in the toilet swirls in the other direction, where there are many animals that are not on other continents and almost every one of them is trying to kill you. According to ancient ideas about the world, your country is definitely hell. And since this is so, the prices in your infernal stores for infernal cigarette should be infernally large and no one is surprised that the sinners whom the Lord gathered there did not repent and continue to commit crimes by stealing cigarettes 😛
To be honest, it's all the same on sanctions) A common topic for gossip. In large cities, there are 1-2 such stores on one block. There are many more shopping malls where you can buy everything from clothes to a variety of food. This has been the case in Russia for 20 years.
Europe wants to commit suicide by imposing sanctions, because while the Russians have not felt them much, yes, prices have risen, but not critically, you can live. There are definitely no problems with food and clothing, gasoline, gas, electricity, we have a lot of this. Just that a smartphone and household appliances have grown in price, but a lot are brought from China, so prices are stabilizing. I'm building a house (I have a house, I'm just building another house for myself, more) we had high prices for building materials in March, April, but then when the dollar fell to 60 rubles, the prices became normal
Looks ok to me and very much like a small town supermarket in New Zealand. You can get what you need and that's really all that is necessary, all the niceties are just that , they are not what you need.
I own a house in the Southern U.S. I want to move to Russia so bad. I feel he Russian people align more with my principles. This is not the first time I have read that sanctions do not apply to food or ordinary goods, this is an extremely wrong, erroneous judgment! The Russian Federation almost does not import food products from Europe and the USA, and produces 90% of it itself. It is impossible to officially import spare parts for tractors and combines, tools, technologies - everything is under sanctions! $4 for a hotdog wow that's in Russia, the stock of food doesnt matter, We here in the USA have Pallets stacked high with products in all supermarkets. What Matters is the price of the products$$$$
If nobody would be buying those hotdogs that stand would ve been closed. And since it apparently not a touristy place the most obvious logical conclusion that $4 for a hotdog seem pretty manageable for an average Russian.

You act as if the Russian people started this war. It was one man, Vladimir Putin. It also raises another issue tied to sanctions. What is the point of sanctioning a country, when the only people who suffer are it’s innocent people? It’s not like sanctions have stopped Putins actions or influenced him to stop at all, he is not affected by any of this, yet the people of the country are. Sanctions don’t solve conflicts. Putin is in an ever more powerful position globally than ever before. If we wanted Putin to stop, we already would have done something.
Coca-Cola has recently issued a statement that they have no intentions to close any of their 10 Russian factories, Pepsi has stated that they are just not going to open new factories for a while, Heinz hasnt declared anything and all their production lines in Russia are working as before and so on. For every single foreign company which has officially left Russia there a dozen that either havent done anything or simply have changed their logos to some local names.
French Leroy Merlin has also never been closed. Moreover, when Ikea closed, they launched adverts where offered furniture "with scandinavic design". And when Obi stopped working, their profit must be skyrocketing because two big chains had gone from market, and their stores were full of people..its was a big moment for French guys. Auchan is also operating without any comments about closure. They said they definitely are going to stay.
