"Please remember, Buddhism is not a religion for you to just come and believe, you have to study, you have to use your common sense to understand and appreciate. This is not a message that came from heaven. It's from the experiment done by a brave man, life after life, such a long period of searching and searching, seeking and searching, studying and practicing. And the outcome of this experiment is Buddhism or the Enlightenment. He did not say that suddenly a god appeared then given him this message, no it's his own effort. In our case also, we cannot gain anything from the Buddha, the god, the deva or external forces, we have to work on it."
    -Venerable K. Sri Dhammananda
It's always lovely to hear him talk about the Dhamma, he puts it in such simple terms, and in very logical and intellectual metaphors, easy to understand. I was just in primary school in Malaysia when he passed away in 2006. Now as I learn the Dhamma again, I'm retracing his speeches and have read his books. And I'm finding out, and studying more, and striving hard to practice the Dhamma, even when I'm in bad circumstances. I do not have big wishes or dreams to be able to attain Nibbana or Nirvana, I just wish to be able to be a good person and be more compassionate while learning more about life.

The way he explains is like simple logic though, I can grasp his meaning more through his explanations. Bcoz sometimes Buddhism can be difficult to understand when it's actually not that complicated.

My respectfull salutation from the bottom of my heart for wonderfull thinking and preaching of Bhuddas Teachings in such a simply way that even the commonest of common can understand the very truth of Dhamma. Truely my mind is boosted with so many powers and it reopens most of new windows of worlds. Till now i was thinking that i wasted my 51 years in unwanted things, but realised even in ignorance i was in process of mind power. Now i understood how to remould the same into superior devine power for future life. When ever i was thinking of death, i used to got into fear, but after hearing death is the beginning of birth, i am in process of getting out that, and welcome death with most respect. THANKS🙏🙏🙏

Great talk. But how can someone distinguish exactly which thinking create karma, which thinking is not? I thought all thinking are creating dynamic force except maybe fleeting thought. Is this correct?

When you think about things that cause you to generate fear, anger, hatred, jealousy, lust, depression…. you generate (create) Sankharas, unwholesome energies. When you think about these things to excess, obsess on them, you establish these Sankharas in your mind, make them real. When you dwell on (think about) love, compassion, generosity, patience…. you do not create (negative) Kamma. Thinking about work or projects, being creative, by itself doesn't create negative Kamma, unless your MOTIVE for thinking these thoughts are unwholesome. And remember that Right Speech (Samma Vaca) will have us abstain from idle chit-chat and chatter. The same is true of our thoughts. If your thoughts aren't wholesome or beneficial or productive thoughts, it's better not to pay any attention to them. Keep your attention on your breathing or on one of the 4 Foundations of Mindfulness. _/|\_

    Sun blaze
    'Lord Buddha" --an "Enlightened "one!
what is that "on and off"? could you understand anything by experiencing this? this will create only an "illusion or hallucination" and nothing else! initially one must try to understand, what is an "enlightenment"? by practicing or experiencing "On and off" could you reach the stage of an "enlightenment"? it is not possible to experience the things practically by anyone. "Enlightenment" is a supernatural experience and it is pertaining to only "Lord Buddha". "Lord Buddha" can be anyone but who has been "universally blessed" at the time of his birth on any of the planets, who is continuously taking birth either of the planet other than the "earth" -about 45 planets, where the life is existing.
when the "Lord Buddha" takes birth as a human being with the "supernatural power or an occult power" locked in his DNA at the time of his birth, as the child is growing with a different kind of "spiritual awakening throughout and the experiences from the routine life and when he reaches to the stage to halt after he eradicate all the evil things from his mind and adopt only the good things from the "universe' by which he can "bring out the change in the lifestyle" as without sufferings, with total freedom, happily living with the sense of brotherhood as the nature is (following the universal law) to every individual on any of the planets, at this time he gets "an enlightened" after he reaches to the "Bodhi tree" at Bodhgaya in Bihar state of India, where he has been "universally blessed again to reach the stage of wholesome of "universal" knowledge in the form of "universally showering" different kind of lights of "wisdom" on to his body to uplift the whole of the "humanity" as such. Why an "enlightenment" only happens in "Bodhgaya" underneath the "Bodhi tree", this tree is the only "naval center" available of this earth, where it acts as a receiving station of the "universal power -frequency" on the earth planet, from where the "vibrations or the total frequency" is being spread all over the planet earth, by which it forms three layers of the atmosphere around the earth -planet, because of which every matter or particle on this earth generates its own frequency, which enables the "existence of life " on this planet.
Do anyone has this kind of courage to dedicate the whole life for the sake of "humanity". no, it's not possible! so try not to think of an "enlightenment", it is not within the reach of every human on this earth, until and unless he has been "universally blessed" at the time of his birth. And "Lord Buddha" is the only soul who gets an "enlightenment" on this planet, has been taking birth every after 2,525 years, approximately within the span of last about 70,000 to 72,000 years about 27 "Lord Buddha's" took birth on this planet "earth only.
