i actually really like that they decided not to set the amount of members. i appreciate how he's giving them motivation with the ranks, but not encouraging them to fight against each other and rather see each other as teammates. im really rooting for these girls

Wow Melissa... For me personally, even without the dance stone yet, I can't imagine JYP not wanting her in the group... it's not just because she has a fantastic voice... but being a songwriter + able to make the audience feel those emotions... not an easy thing, because besides the talent you have to let yourself be very vulnerable...

As a youngster who grew up without a father, I completely understand Melissa. I felt her pain. While listening to the song lyrics and watching her perform, I found myself in tears.
Even as someone who hasn’t had this specific experience, she was so communicative in her lyrics and performance…I really felt emotional too. So impressive a 13 year old wrote a song like this also so sad she had these experiences and feelings so young…
I hope you are doing well. People who do not try to be in your life don’t deserve you.
Melissa is the strongest person I have ever seen , I know how is like and they made you feel like it's all you and your mother's fault and also the part about secret really hit me. Am so happy for us to be able to let go of people who never value our existing ❤️

All the girls performances were amazing but Melissa’s definitely was the highlight of the show for me. I feel like people don’t talk about her enough and it’s crazy cause this girl is so talented. Writing a whole song at the age of 13 AND it being a very emotional song isn’t easy at all. And not only that her vocal range and the way she controls her voice is always so shocking to me. Rooting for her throughout the way and I’m rlly hoping she debuts along side all the girls.
She’s part of my top 3. After the vocal performance she completely blew me away. She is just soooo amazing. JYP would be stupid to let someone like her go.

Lexus proved her star quality by showing her ability to be able to remember and pay attention to even the shortest interactions with people. Being able to remember interactions with fans and remembering what they said before the next time you meet them is an important quality for any star.

I totally agree. I've never watched a single survival show because they just don't feel genuine and often enough AREN'T. This show is full of constructive criticism and support that actually encourages the girls instead of making fun of them. Like imagine Camila in Girls Planet, she wouldn't have improved at all.

I’m a Japanese who watches all episodes of NIZI project. In the audition, JYP valued “personality” the most for the debut member. Even if they don’t have good skills, have all talents, contestants who has a good attitudes or great personality will be chosen.

they are all amazing & just feel Kendall ranked high because JYP saw her capacity to be w fans & media at a very deep & emotional level [off stage]. He said he would trust her in an interview I assume to speak on behalf of the team (so perhaps captain quality?) & the fact that she has the mindset of gifting & can craft something personal while talking says a lot about her character. The "judges" may well have accounted for the reactions they witnessed in several members saying "I want one!" - a measure that they are moved by her gestures/behaviors & who she's being 💘

All the performances were amazing ! I am speechless. We can feel that the girls are improving so much. A2K has to be a 11 members group !
I think 2 groups might be a good idea too, some of the members are wayyy ahead of the others and could debut sooner, some members I think need maybe 2+ years of training.
I'm kinda sad that we didn't get to see Misha's full performance bc it was cut by the prod. She looks like a great contemporary dancer and I'm sure it might have deserved a top 5 rank but we'll never know :(

I’m probably about to be flamed for saying this but her dad is fuelling the idea that black fathers aren’t there for their kids 😐 I’m already angry about my friend who has a Korean mom and a black father, and I can see how her mother have struggled this whole time all alone, knowing nothing about afro hair and how to take care of it. I get angrier when I see more fathers out here contributing to the statistics and reinforcing that stereotype. And then they complain about women not wanting to be with them.

Kaylee's segment is just perfect!She showed who she is right now. She doesn't need to act like an adult to be able to compete against older girls.
Everyone has such varying personalities. What I like about Lexi is how levelheaded, quiet, determined and humble she is. Gina is Korean, but still, she is so good at Korean. Maybe she is a genius, spoke Korean at home, gone to Korean school, etc. I think my biases are Cristina and Camila. So positive, strong, caring, loving. All deserved stones and the top 5 were deserved as well!
LOL I love how Yuna and Lexi immediately jumped on JYP to eat the Warheads. That was cute. And Kaylee being absolutely stoneface with that in her mouth was insane. THEN she popped a lemon one in to assert her dominance further hahaha. My face twitches and spasms on its own when it hits. EDIT: Wow. Melissa's songwriting ability is on par with her expressiveness. Can you imagine how unstoppable she'll be as she grows? It's one thing to be hurt by someone, but it's another to be able to channel the emotions into a well-made song. And it's another thing, again, to be able to perform it flawlessly.

I infinitely love Melissa's voice, it's so heartbreaking and authentic. She definitely has to be in the group. Savanna's radiant energy is spectacular and Camila is sweet, full of surprises.

I like the friendships blooming within. Especially Kendall and Kaylee I hope they both debut. Plus Kendall is supportive too
Melissa's vocal and the spirit to let her pain go in a faithful way would definetely help the group and many people who suffer in similar circumstances and the positive way of her presence looks really encouraging. Lexus showed beautiful move on her ballet with strong control on her motion with stable balance, then the Pop move was really impressing as well as enthusing. Her sense on both fast motion and slow gentle one was really flawless. Surprised at Gina's fluency in three languages, the commercial acting of water was charming. Kaylee showed strong powerful taekwonmoo impressively. And her eating sour candy reminded me of NiziU MAKO who ate lemon without showing bitter impression and said tasty as Kaylee did, and she looked like just a cute girl next door. And loved Yuna encouraged JYPark to try the candy when Kaylee recommended him to. Also surprised that both Kendall and Yuna practiced Taekwondoo before. Really really interesting assembly of talented girls!

Gina's talent was obviously languages, but besides that, being MC on a music show for example or starring in ads is super important to idols. She did such a good job and I was grinning the whole time!

Melissa's song is so heartbreaking. I know someone who's in the same situation. His dad left him when he was young, he's a grown up now and his dad has never been around although they live in the same city and they're not in contact anymore. He is now a father himself and he does his best to never be like his own dad. He loves and adores his daughter, doing his best to give the best care for his girl. It's almost like he's getting healed from the past through his own child. Melissa, I can see how genuine and loving person you are. I believe one day your own child(ren) will comfort you and heal your pain as well. You gave such comfort to a lot of people who're in the similar situation as yours through your song. You're a great artist.
Keep rewatching Lexi. Esp her POP. She really knows her every movement and meaning behind it. Her facial expression/ smile/ confidence is sth else.

I REALLY DON"T THINK YA'LL UNDERSTAND Melissa's performance was among the best i've seriously ever seen ( even among professionals). there are a lot of people who write songs but they don't really have the talent to deliver so much emotion to their audience Mellissa is a GEM she not only showed her talent in writing and let's remember this is a song she wrote at 13!!!! cause god knows some people write lyrics and are very technical about it but don't make sense. Melissa gave us a story that I know myself and others can relate to but she didn't just give the story she delivered the emotions SO WELL for a song she wrote at 13 it was so RAW and fresh. this is an emotion I'm still feeling even after her performance. I WAS AWSTRUCK BY HER. I SAW TALENT THAT YOU DON'T SEE EVEN IN ARTISTS NOW. yes, I had to CAPITALIZE THAT.

I really love how CHARACTER is evaluated in all JYP groups/survival shows. Like you can be the most talented, but if you don't have a good character, you won't flourish well here. JYPE artists are known to be the nicest idols in the industry.

Melissa is such an amazing performer and her song is sooo relatable it must be released as her solo soon. The ability to sing such a deep hurtful song with all those emotions and keep composure is so amazing. I was crying my eyes out as soon as she spoke about her father because i know that feeling

Melissa’s song about her dad really touched me, it literally brought me to tears 😭 my dad left my life when i was around 6 because he didn’t pay child support and the police looked at his records and he got himself deported to Mexico, he’s allowed to come back now, actually since last year, but he won’t. he even keeps saying how he’ll send money bc he knows how much my mom struggles but it’s just words, he hasn’t sent a single dime. it hurts me every time he tells me “i love you” because i think in his eyes he doesn’t understand that he needs to show it and not just say it because i don’t understand at all his actions. i have him blocked since last year i can’t stand to hear his “i love you”‘s. when i was little, i cried missing my dad and now i rlly just cry because of how much he makes my mom suffer with his actions. 2 days ago i told my mom i loved her and hugged her which I never do because it’s hard for me to say that to anyone, but she was really stressed she always is because she’s rarely home and always working. after i hugged her i literally cried in front of her because i love her and i wish she didn’t have to be so stressed like obviously being a mother is stressful but working day and night then only sleeping 4 hours max before having to work again basically never being home then on days off she still needs to go to the grocery store without a car and puts food on our plates, like if only my dad just helped she wouldn’t be as stressed. I’m glad Melissa has moved on or at least is learning to move on, but for me idk why im still blindly hoping things will get better, im 17, & idk for how long i’ll have this hope but i think im still hoping because i cant forget our memories when i was young & because part of me wants to believe there was truth in his “i love you”‘s. plus im always seeing daughters with great relationships with their dads and i always hope that could be me someday. damn i didnt know i typed out so much so sorry for the long rant if anyone actually reads this 😭
Was expecting Savanna, Kendall, Camila and Lexus fighting for the top 3. But Melissa's song being so touching was really unexpected.
