Remember right to repair. If anything happens to it you will have to buy a new one. Water damage voids warranty and some devices have gotten damage from humid air... What a shit company

I personally love all of the MacBooks, but lately the past few years, YES they do look really nice, but your taking out a lot of the joy of apple products, like the glowing apple logo, it the ports (e.g. The USB ports, and the sd card slot, MagSafe etc) and a lot of collage students who are trying to find the best deals will have to pay extra on dongles just to get those functions back, which upsets me personally, but I do love the computers, just I wished they added those stuff back
I def wish they kept the mag safe, but the new MacBook Air feel and work so much better than previous in my opinion. I didn’t really like the glowing apple logo and I love the new trackpad, which works so much better and cleaner than the original mechanical trackpad.
I wish they added the adapters with the Macbook so you don have to buy one

KekeLew i don’t want to be rude but, why did he buy the 2017 macbook air? Even though it was 999$ it’s such outdated tech! and it looks horrible compared to the other macbooks. But he should try to sell it on ebay for at least 800$ if it’s a year old, other than that it will be really hard to make over 300$.

When I saw the three of them being stacked up on top of one another, I was so worried about them getting a few scratches.
I was sold on gold until I saw it in person; it is much more of a copper color. Space gray just looked okay to me online, but in person it has so much more character that I ended up choosing it.
Do you think the space gray is better than silver? I can’t decide.

Very nice vid comparing this to othe macs! I've seen a ton of videos covering this device as I am a college student considering purcahsing this as an upgrade over my current $300 laptop. None of the videos I've seen has offered this angle of coverage. Very nice vid!

Although this is 2020 I'm still into 2019 MacBook air because it's lightweight, portable, and much sleeker. The only downside is keyboard (which is fixed by apple in 2020 model) otherwise if you don't care much about keyboard this is probably the deal for you. And because this previous year model it is a bit cheaper too.
When I first heard about the Retina display I was like, “it can see you?”

Here's the thing. If we truly want less cords and more seamless devices, we need a universal port for all of that. MagSafe isn't universal.

I’m glad to see it go I think it was good in theory but terrible in practice the cable came off way too easily there was never going to be a time in which somebody would accidentally step on my cable and it doesn’t always charge my Mac

Apple purposely does this to maximise profit on every item they sell. They are also very adept at under speccing their memory and storage and forcing people into a higher tier of price. It is also a common tactic used by car manufacturers to try and get people to buy options and push up the price.
Yes, I completely agree that it is very cluttered. I am sure it is extremely confusing for someone new to the Apple ecosystem. They should drop the 12 inch MacBook and base model MacBook Pro, then rename this one as simply MacBook. Their iPad lineup is done right, starting with the iPad Mini then iPad and iPad Pro.

I bought my first Mac last week. I got a MacBook Air 2017 Model as it has MagSafe and the glowing Apple logo! I love it!
When Apple announced Touch ID, I was a little disappointed. In the same year that Apple finally gets rid of Touch ID in favor of Face ID for both iPhone and iPad, they put it in the MacBook Air. I would have preferred Face ID for the MacBook Air.

MacBook Air is the best value for the money this year, it beats out the regular MacBook and base model MacBook Pro because it has the T2 chip. Expect Apple to make Face ID available on all MacBooks come 2019.

I love this review! One thing though, the magsafe was actually meant to come of easily, so if you tripped over the cable it wouldn’t nring the laptop with it.
