- After doing Arethusa Cirque over two years ago, I had been wanting to summit Mount Arethusa but couldn't due to the 'difficult rating' it has been given due to the degree of exposure in multiple sections. This year, I decided to check this off. Our initial plan was to descend through the optional descent route that Alan Kane suggested however after a grueling ascent through the scree, I opted to return the same way. The slippery rock slabs through the gully would require 100% commitment on my both legs 😀. Anyway, it was a beautiful scramble despite the not-so-fun ascent route we took.
You two are my heroes. I am so proud of both of you for conquering that hike. Great job, and I can't wait to see the next one love you both 😊
