Verna stole the market from the last Honda city. This verna model is an older gen model. Ofcourse the city will be better. The next gen verna will be guaranteed better than this model of the city. The reason behind this is the difference in months for the launch of new variants/ models. They always learn and try to 1up the leading model.
Verna or City. You won't be disappointed. Even in parts and service I think both are almost the same... though I found Honda city a tad bit more expensive to maintain.

Honda city is always the king of sedans and the most gorgeous one but this Verna and particularly this Verna is a superb one
I have Verna 1.6 for the past 3 years through out these 3 years i feel service for verna is better than city. Recently i bought Honda city as my friends pushed me to buy the city after 6 months of usage i felt Verna is much better especially in diesel . OMG !! its so noisy on city i couldn't drive in city bcoz of its irritating noise from the diesel engine but in highways its ok bcoz of the high speed the noise is not much trouble./ also the power is not better as Verna . City engine is not punchy . more over i went to honda showroom to do something with its terrible noise they say it will get better once you reach 10k and they ask to me pay 6k but they call it as free service. When i bought verna and i took for its first service i just paid 3k for OIL change and oil filter etc., same changes in my first service in city its 6k +taxes .. Anyone willing to buy any one from the this two if it is diesel sure i would say go for Verna for its stylish look, beautiful interiors and punchy engine . If you buy diesel city no doubt you will feel that you are inside 2 years old indica cab even after paying 11lac rupees. Still if you want to buy a city please get it from me (mail or comment me) i will give it for 10.5lac which is 65k lesser than the tag price i bought. TN Reg 7000kms driven.

Just bought a 2016 petrol honda city vx navi 1.5 cvt.. I like it, I like it a lot.. sorry can't compare coz i've never driven a hyundai or in any case, other sedan besides honda (except a Nissan 1.6 MT SE Saloon back then) but anyway i'm very satisfied, very comfortable to drive and i live in a place with a lot of hills with occasional bumps on the road.. Smooth as a baby's ass my friends..

verna 1.6 is better then city but city has a edge more in head and leg space in rear seat

I had NO idea they offered a Diesel engine in a Honda City. We only have petrol variants here in the Philippines.
Honda started to offer diesel engines in India from 2013 as India is dominant with diesel market.

Tho, verna is much cheaper compare to city however the performance of verna/accent is not good, try the 1.5L petrol engine cvt of honda city it will gives you more power. When it comes to interior quality verna/accent has low quality material compare to city which has a high quality leather seats which provides you a comfort while driving. You should also consider the car manufacturer on how long they've on the industry. This is only the fourth gen of hyundai verna vs the sixth generation of honda city.

Narendra Rane I'm Talking that if u apply breaks in Verna at the speed of 140-160 like honda city it will not overturn. although it's body is light it's meant for racing also that's why it have six air bags and it's the best car

in petrol Honda ivtec is very fun to drive.. it pulls cleanly to red line.. in 3rd gear only you can take up beyond 120. sounds amazing. driving dynamics are pretty sorted out, unlike hyundai which has too much soft suspension and feels bumpy. another advantage is interior space.. it is huge and has more legroom than a camry! in diesel you can look german cars as well.. for petrol pick city
In petrol, I think City has no competition.. Honda simply makes the best petrol engines..
yes. it does make good engines.. very reliable and fun to drive peppy.. but ivtec is not as good as the TSI engines made by VW right now.. coupled with DSG gearbox automatic which is one of the most fastest gearbox in the world ! ivtec is getting little old now

You're correct! I had many issues on my hyundai accent/verna after 2 years so I decided to sell it and now I got my new honda civic 1.8L 2016 its more fun to drive and gives more power compare to korean car brand.
