Had enough of the injuries and will he won't he play regarding Archer. He's too fragile.
And as he approaches 30 and beyond, a bowler of his pace is only likely to suffer more injury and fitness issues. There’s something about current English qualified pace bowlers who have persistent fitness issues. Olly Stone and Mark Wood also come to mind. Test careers blighted by injury after injury. Its all very well the selectors earmarking Archer to get fit for the Ashes in 18 months with him unlikely to play any test cricket till next year, but they’d be better served looking at younger seamers who are fit now, playing county cricket and give them more experience at test level going into that Ashes series. There’s no guarantee that Archer will be on that plane to Australia. There’s only so long they can keep rotating the likes of Anderson, Wood, Woakes and Robinson.

About time they got more cricket into public schools and made the game far less about what class you were born into!! How many talented cricketers have they missed out on over the years who had no chance of progression?
Public schools are Private schools, do you mean State schools? In which case I agree. However, these days I think progressing in cricket requires more than just the righ accent, it needs a commitment to a club and the folding stuff to buy all the gear (cash not class is the deciding factor). There is no real 'jumpers for goalposts' equivalent for cricket. So, any initiative that puts cash in schools has to be applauded.
@@wthornton7346 it's not about the schools though as I played all the way through high school but only those with cash rich parents were able to go to the cricket club at the weekend because they could afford all the gear needed like you mentioned. When I turned up with tracksuit bottoms I got laughed at and cast out. This needs to change! Personally I believe it should be the club's who help lower class and working class kids be able to play regularly.... just like Flintoff's TV show
