This is in my 10 points slot currently (behind France)! I think it oddly could do relatively better in the final, if it qualifies, than in the semi as the final will have more wackiness and this could be a nice pop antidote, very easy on the ears as you say. I can see people thinking "finally, some actual music". Or maybe that's just me projecting my reaction upon hearing the song 😀

I was expecting Poland to be a bit higher in Nova's list, given that Luna definitely remembered to run a toner through her hair (and eyebrows). It's shaping up to be a peroxide Eurovision.

@@tomicolex I believe she is naturally more honey blonde, which is relatively common in Poland. It's really not that hard to go from there down to platinum blonde, especially as the video itself is colour-corrected as well. But it is hard to really tell, especially as she did at some point go through brown hair phase.
@mjm3091 So, if I've understood you correctly, the jury's very much still out on whether or not Luna treated her hair with a toner... I still have hope that Mustii and Baby Lasagna can pass the toner test.

There are videos of her singing and she goes under the category of Polish entries, where the singer actually has really good hold of their abilities (it's always either top-notch or extremely bad). It's also important to mention that she had to really put up a good performance to win against Steczkowska.
Cause, if Justyna won nationals - she would very likely be the best singer in the whole 2024 Eurovision, when it comes to actual skill. Like she is over 50 and she is kicking like that still? She is an icon and personally I hope she comes back next year, because she has been one of my favourite past Polish entries and she is one of the few older singers in Poland that still is able to deliver 110% every performance and stay classy when it comes to her public image.
After a slow start I think this is shaping up to be an enjoyable contest this year 😊
Even just basing this on the number of likes on the Eurovision channel release, this is a VERY popular song… and given the controversy in it’s release, it would be wrong to think that it’s Polish people liking it.
This is like a true pop song, and I wouldn’t say Eurovision has that many this year so it could do great!
luna is already working on a little revamp! and tvp fired our old stage directors so no cap cut effects for us this year also 😅 btw. poland qualified with the public every year for the last 10 years except for 2021 so don’t blame people for talking about diaspora

She sounds the same live as in the studio version, she has talent, she is self-confident, natural, true and the stage is her natural environment, she is not a star, she is very positive and smiling, she is a phenomenal girl, she is likeable ;-)

Rewatching this now. I have been trying to figure out what the chorus of this song reminds me of, since it first came out…. It’s the bloody Lego movie… the chorus is giving me Lego movie vibes.
I’m in the US and we don’t get Eurovision that I’m aware of so I have no idea who these artist are but I like listening to Nova & Olympia rating the songs.

great video! i would agree and say the diaspora wouldn't play a big part in her qualification, if bejba didn't get third last year in semi 2. Poland this year has a lot of friends and countries with large polish diasporas in this semi. it's hard to say that the diaspora's wont have a big role in this semi final, and I think its a lock to qualify for this reason, but i absolutely see where y’all are coming from.
i could see this one and isaak's doing well outside of esc kinda like Rosa Linn's SNAP! like deffo catchy but olympias right lol it doesn't lend itself to televotes more of a mindless radio bop 😂

The visuals are in line with the deeper meaning of the song really well. Staging needs to translate that meaning or else a lot of people will be confused like you guys but once you know you appreciate it more

I really like this. Why are we all hating on songs that are mainstream? It’s driving me mad! Im sure you will get to Croatia, but the hate I’m receiving for not liking it is mind blowing to me 🙈. We need to remember Kariija didn’t win, Loreen did. A well produced, excellent vocal and staging that helps beef the song up wins. It’s like they’re all too lazy to bother finding decent singers and well written songs so they send crappy trash. Im slowly falling out of love with Eurovision and every year find it harder to convince those that don’t watch, why they should. Im starting to agree with them that the music really is shit 😖
You got a point. I actually love the song from Croatia, but there are so many entries that are trying to be out of the box, that most of them are gonna get lost in the mix, while we have so few songs that are just pure mainstream pop for radio, and there's absolutely nothing wrong about sending those type of tracks! This is what will possibly make them stand out. We only got some of them like Poland or Denmark and i really believe both of them are gonna do surprisingly well. They could actually become surprising dark horses, but of course everything will depend on the staging. I have a feeling eurofans this year have wrong thoughts about eurovision that everything HAS TO be original or sometimes even weird to make them stand out. Too much campness and kitsch makes the simple songs go higher.
Also the word "generic" is the most overused word in the fandom.

That contrast of bubblegum pop on a sonic level and the sombre high fashion visual is very Lady Gaga. Makes me think of the MV for Alejandro.
I heard the Witcher entry and thought it sounded like a theme tune for a macabre tv series like Penny Dredful. I like the Luna song but can't help comparing her to Lady Gaga/Ava Max.

I think you hit the nail on the head in that it’s a great song with full production values but not sure how it’ll transfer to live performance in an impressive way.
I quite like the antithesis of the image and song, it reminds me in that sense of iamamiwhoami 😊

This is the first time I’ve been following along and forming my own opinions of the Eurovision entries as it’s happening and I’m beginning to think there’s more of a culture difference than I initially expected.
A fair few of the entries you two like or have mentioned have a high chance of doing well (and I’m sure you’re correct), I’ve slated as absolutely awful lol.

I never got how various CZcamsr react to a song, while they are actually talking during the WHOLE song....
As we said at the start we've heard the song before, and we don't see the point in filming ourselves sitting in silence. Speaking over the song also helps prevent copyright claims being made. If you want to listen to the song without commentary, the link to the video is in the description.
Fine as a radio song but not a competitive song for ESC. It's a very generic pop song that doesn't stand out to me and will get lost in the mix. But she is doing a revamp so I'm curious to see how that turns out. I do like her style and I know she can sing live and have faith in whatever staging her team comes up with but this is a potential in NQ in my books because of all the other strong contenders in SF1. But who knows, I wouldn't underestimate the Polish diaspora lol.
Also, people comparing this and saying that this is better than solo and therefore will be in the grand final is not taking into account that last year and this year are very different Semis.
Olympia the issue with the polish diaspora is not that people think they will win with it but instead qualify over a perhaps more deserving song / performance

Poland only NQ'd with the televote once since 2014, and it was 2021 with The Ride, a song that got butchered live. This year we have UK, Ireland, Iceland, Lithuania and Ukraine voting in our semi, Luna has a very artistic mind and new TVP regime will want to make a good first impression. We're qualifying. I'm fairly convinced of it.
No disrespect to you, I love Poland but this song is just so bland, if Malta, Portugal or San Marino sent this they wouldn’t qualify. We need juries back to stop diaspora voting…

FR our diaspora is not saving us from this one lmao 💀 there was some outrage on Twitter when ppl learned she's a nepo baby and that the biggest radio station sent her and was the one voting for her in the jury. The song is fine (not for the eurovision lmao) but the whole situation is what made people mad about it. Polish jury lowering the bar for all of us again 😭😭

The problem is Justyna doesn't speak/sing English. It sounds straaaaaaange. Luna is great.
It is very catchy pop. I don't like the video but I quite like the song. I think her vocal needs a lot of work, particlaulry with the verses, maybe she was just done a dirty and was really low in the mox but you can't hear her that well. I will be interested to see how the are going to stage it.
