Courtney will become like the greats before her. R&R revival and she will be leading it. She is more than a singer. She is a performer. A throwback of an era that she’s making popular again. This is what separates Courtney from the other good singers she is compared to. They are not in her wheelhouse. They are very good in their own right but Courtney is just Courtney. Unlike anyone.
I absolutely loved this reaction. I've always suggested that those reacting to Courtney's covers first listen to the original and then listen to Courtney's version. To have them played back to back was terrific. For many people who know Courtney from only AGT, she is viewed exclusively as a rocker. While it's true that she can rock to almost anything, what this cover shows is that she has one of the most beautiful and versatile voices in the music industry. She can sing just about any style and stand out from the rest. She sings with more intensity and passion than any other current performer that comes to mind. Also you noted how different the two versions were. You will find that this is true of all of Courtney's covers, going back to when she was only 9 or 10 years old. No matter how popular the original, she has always taken the original and 'Courterized' it to make it her own. This not only shows her tremendous creativity, but also her courage and confidence as a performer. It is so refreshing to see a cover that is not merely a replica of the original. I believe her mom wants her life to be as normal as possible for the time being at this young age. And her personality is very quiet and laid back. Nah Wayne, it has nothing to do with being old. Actually from what I've read, the older fans like Courtney's energetic side doing RnB classics more for the most part. @rotorhead1942 You have much more experience that I do. and must have seen quite a bit. I personally like 70's and 80's rock classics mostly but also like some slower ballads that are also classics. I guess it doesn't matter what the style is, as long as the artist and music has that special vibe to it that draw the attention. I'm drawn to anything upbeat with a driving hook to it. I'm curious what's going to be on her album. It will be a hit with me whatever it is. I just don't see anything I wouldn't like coming out of Courtney

Someone else tried to say her mic wasn't right for the room she was in and that she must of had a sore throat that day. That's a 700 dollar plus mic and one of the best known names (Neumann TLM 102) for being used at home. I almost replied back to tell him that and if she had a sore throat that day it's doubtful she would have recorded it. But I didn't waste my time. Some people just are a bit over the top without knowing about what they speak I guess. One thing I did notice for Courtney fans who sometimes worry about view counts is that as popular as AJ is with youtube viewers Courtney still gets more fan support for her videos overall. And that kinda surprises me. I would have thought AJ would have way more views on her cover channel than she has on most covers. I may not be looking at the right channel or places though. Anyway when I heard this cover earlier I remember reading some of your comments on her. Although, I am completely impressed by AJ and some other young singers on youtube, I mostly follow Courtney. Carl, this is the 1st time I've seen this video of this song. I've seen most of the rest of them including talk show performances etc. And your right this was heartfelt. I've heard from other who thought this was a love song about girlfriend and boyfriend but then it was explained by someone who met Lewis before a concert who mentioned it's about love, and not so much about boyfriend girlfriend. This video explains it best. Also just a note. The same person who explained this and who met Lewis, let Lewis listen to Courtney Hadwin's cover of this. I guess you have multiple requesters named Wayne. That's great! Anyway, I am not a huge fan of Courtney, but this cover is great. She actually sings instead of shouting and bouncing. Maybe I am just old, but this is what I prefer. Sure, she got energetic, but that is perfect for this performance. Very nice reaction.
Nah Wayne, it has nothing to do with being old. Actually from what I've read, the older fans like Courtney's energetic side doing RnB classics more for the most part. Courtney just does everything with passion. It's like this for her ballads side and pedal to the floor on her rock side. I doubt she can help herself.
@rotorhead1942 You have much more experience that I do. and must have seen quite a bit. I personally like 70's and 80's rock classics mostly but also like some slower ballads that are also classics. I guess it doesn't matter what the style is, as long as the artist and music has that special vibe to it that draw the attention. I'm drawn to anything upbeat with a driving hook to it. I'm curious what's going to be on her album. It will be a hit with me whatever it is. I just don't see anything I wouldn't like coming out of Courtney
@rotorhead1942 In today's world you never know how far we will go. My grandma and now my mom where and are well into their nineties. I do work at retirement homes and see people well into their 90's. Let's hope your here to see Courtney's prime. That's the beautiful thing about Courtney's talents and her spirit. She brings lots of joy to all who follow her and hear her. And happiness is what make the body feel good even when we sometimes don't. Courtney/happiness, they go together well.

@rotorhead1942 Being criticized for singing this song like that is just nonsense. Someone else tried to say her mic wasn't right for the room she was in and that she must of had a sore throat that day. That's a 700 dollar plus mic and one of the best known names (Neumann TLM 102) for being used at home. I almost replied back to tell him that and if she had a sore throat that day it's doubtful she would have recorded it. But I didn't waste my time. Some people just are a bit over the top without knowing about what they speak I guess. One thing I did notice for Courtney fans who sometimes worry about view counts is that as popular as AJ is with youtube viewers Courtney still gets more fan support for her videos overall. And that kinda surprises me. I would have thought AJ would have way more views on her cover channel than she has on most covers. I may not be looking at the right channel or places though. Anyway when I heard this cover earlier I remember reading some of your comments on her. Although, I am completely impressed by AJ and some other young singers on youtube, I mostly follow Courtney. The other young singers are so talented too, but for me I just seem to enjoy Courtney's style and want to hear and watch her videos every day.

Carl, this is the 1st time I've seen this video of this song. I've seen most of the rest of them including talk show performances etc. And your right this was heartfelt. I've heard from other who thought this was a love song about girlfriend and boyfriend but then it was explained by someone who met Lewis before a concert who mentioned it's about love, and not so much about boyfriend girlfriend. This video explains it best. Also just a note. The same person who explained this and who met Lewis, let Lewis listen to Courtney Hadwin's cover of this. Lewis was very impressed and said what a voice she has and liked her version of it quite a bit. The person said he genuinely looked impressed by her cover. Both are great. And thanks for that link of the unofficial video. It explains a lot more than I knew.
