    Dr. Shoemaker highly advises against any type of physical activity until you have reached are certain level in your treatment and even then he has a protocol to ease back into physical activity. He states it will hurt your healing process you are active. I get his mailing list and it was one of his main topics about 6 weeks ago. Which made complete sense why I feel like crap for weeks after doingsomething as simple as cleaning out my garage and moving boxes.

    Cholestyramine can be compounded into capsules. I believe this removes the need for brushing your teeth afterward.

    Before I was diagnosed, some of my symptoms got progressively worse over the past six months or so. Just a couple days ago, I finally realized that I had been spending several hours at the library 2 days a week. Just sent back my ERMI kit.

    Most of the downstream effects are from low MSH due to Marcons, so I’d say the BEG spray is equally as important as the binder.

    12-18 months is so unrelateable for so many people ive talked to. Specifically people who have had CFS for many years. Shoemaker warned of cirs patients developing "irreversible chrinic fatigue syndrome" in his early books, so theres definitely something different or extra going on in my subgroup. I have gotten a decent amount better since starting in 2021 but nothing dramatic. VCS still positive.

      Have you looked into Lyme? It seems like a lot of people who aren’t fully recovering from the protocol are reacting to actinos/Lyme/spike protein so they haven’t really cleared the first step “remove exposure” yet. Another lever to pull, for sure!

    I do OmegaBrite fish oil. You have to order online, and it's pricey, but I am happy with it. Cromolyn was huge for me. I had a bad red splotchy rash on my face & neck.

    You can use raw eggs instead of binders, they make you detox through reverse cholesterol transport (RCT).
    I haven't tried cholestyramine but eggs are infinitely more effective then charcoal and zeolite for mold detox. Absolutely no comparison

    I personally have had zero problems with colestyramine
    Welchol was causing my high blood pressure to increase even more
    I'm still in a bit of exposure (8 hours weekly total)
    that cannot be helped due to watching a seasonal sport my son plays but it's almost to the end of the season

    Thank you guys so much for these videos. I have really bad CIRS. I did a hertsmi-2 and it came back as 36! I have massive brain fog. Any advise to get my stools going more?

    Remove from exposure
    Normalize VCS on Binders

    How much & how do you take Welcal or Cholostyramine? With food? away?

    • @thecirsgroup
      @thecirsgroup  Před 4 měsíci

      Definitely talk to your provider about appropriate dosing and timing!

    • @thecirsgroup
      @thecirsgroup  Před 4 měsíci

      Well, you should definitely seek out a Shoemaker certified practitioner with a lot of experience in treating CIRS to guide you and your dosing. This is not medical advice. Generally, people are instructed to take the binder 20-30 minutes before consuming at least 7g of fat. This can be a whole meal, or just some butter or oil. In all cases, you start slow (1/16 of a scoop of CSM for instance, or just one pill a day of welchol) and very slowly titrate up over time. Again, this is why working with a practitioner is best - you want them to guide you through that process and avoid side effects as much as possible.

  • @debrag.3900

    what does "not tolerating" the cholestyramine? symptoms ramp up?

    • @thecirsgroup
      @thecirsgroup  Před rokem

      It can manifest in a lot of different ways. For some, extreme fatigue, nausea, headaches, lack of appetite, and constipation are common. If you can tolerate those side effects, you can push through and they should subside in a couple weeks. If your mold/reaction symptoms get worse, that would be whatever you're already dealing with but worse: joint pain, GI distress, headaches, etc. - its possible you are still in exposure and need to double check your environment before continuing the medication. Your CIRS doctor should be able to guide you through that process either way.

    • @thecirsgroup
      @thecirsgroup  Před 4 měsíci

      Not that we're aware... Jacie and I both took the generic version. There may be worse fillers in one or both - so if you react badly to one, I would try the other before giving up or switching to CSM.

    Whenever I try the cholestyramine, I have tightness in my stomach & upper chest. Maybe it’s acid reflux? . I’m just wondering, does that go away? Do I need to try less?
    Im having a lot of inflammation and pain in my body as one of my main symptoms and I’m hoping it will take that away. I wonder how long I have to wait before I see results ?

    • @thecirsgroup

      Definitely talk to your provider about any symptoms you are experiencing!

    • @thecirsgroup
      @thecirsgroup  Před 4 měsíci

      I definitely encourage you to speak with your doctor about it, as we cannot provide medical advice. It's possible you are going too fast on the dose, so backing down is an option. The other possibility is that you are still in exposure, so any amount of the binder may be difficult to tolerate.
