The way Rita Marley decided to manage her marriage, the music and her husband's affairs, is quite interesting. I have heard her say in a documentary, that she knew Bob was always attracting girls (his male friends say Bob was actually quite shy, women mainly came to him and he was very childish and naive in that sense, not really able to say no) and if the whole music project and the work around it was important to her too, so she knew she had to make it work. I think she accepted Bob the way he was, and decided to make her kids and the music a priority, even being hurt at times. She affirms (as many of her friends do), that he never was really hiding the affairs and came to her even when he needed help to work or to get the women out of his place (they would not get out when he needed to work), he was open about it and so was she, so it was quite honest and transparent. The musicians that where on the road with them, say Rita deeply respected the work and was not making any drama with other people around, she loved the music, and that her connection to Bob was much about loyalty and a deep bond. So she decided to even accept his kids, as he accepted hers, plus, Bob always did feed his kids and provide education (many other dads that make kids all the time, don't take care of them). I guess, no matter how we feel about a very creative and genuinely loving man, that was't capable some how of controlling his passion, with women being married to one, they decided to live that way, and it's not my job to judge. They seem to have raised very productive and nice people, and delivered amazing music to the world. Nobody is perfect.

When I was 27, my husband and I traveled to visit with my 2 youngest sib, as the eldest daughter and child of my father, I worked hard to bring our youngest sisters back into our family and had a reunion at our place in 1982. My mom has been a wonderful stepmother to my youngest 2 sisters & all 6 of us are very bonded and we love each other and support each other, so I know that it can work, I also know that all 6 of us went through so much trauma, but love and God are the greatest healers.❤

I met Bob Marley's first girlfriend, Gwennie who gave Bob his first child. They both grew up together. I met her when we were next door neighbors in Key Largo, Florida in 2003.

I think he just loved women and loved making children. Over in Jamaica it's pretty normal for people to want to make lots of babies. At least he was loving to them all and respectful towards the women. He still made incredible music and his legacy, along with his dna, will live on. I'm glad he made so many beautiful, kind adorable precious children & hope they grow up to be kind and peaceful like he was. :)

After three years he put the DNA and none of them match. They swept it under the rug. Imani is definitely his first child but is not recognized in the estate. It is said Bob could have had as many as 20. I personally think he fathered somewhere around 16. There's said to be a couple of other sons in Jamaica who were also named Robert Nesta Marley. Many of the baby mothers kept quiet out of fear. I heard Rita did a lot of threatening to any woman who claimed Bob fathered their child.
Diwani Spark Bob had a career that lasted for about 17 years. The man planted a seed anywhere he went, and this is Shown from all of the 7 known children he had without Rita. I definitely think he had at least 16 or 17 children.

We are no longer interested in how many women or children Bob had, I came from a large family myself, I love all of my siblings and guess what, now that we have grown up and live in different parts of the world, I miss the fact I dont see them as much. Gabre Maskal yes I followed the Fabian Marley situation closely between 2015-16. Personally I don’t think he was lying I believe his manager set him up. Bob had way more children. His first daughter Imani is not recognized publicly. He has another daughter who is not recognized as well. Many in St Ann’s where he is from believe he had about 22 children.

One was born after he was dead so he had no chance to claim her. I think the mother of his first born daughter probably didn't want to have anything to do with the family. When bob went off and married another woman instead of her. She didn't let her daughter hang around with bob and his other children.. that's why you don't hear her saying anything. She is ok. But I hope he provided for her nonetheless. She is his first born child. The others should respect her position as such. Imani Carole Marley.
