I love SR more than GTA idk why lol
Also hi badger 🙂
Absolute banger
Yoooo, that's my fav song on Gen X!
Did you make Tony Soprano and Saul Goodman replicas as the boss? Or is it just my mind playing tricks on me
My favorite game of all time. The Gentleman of the Row saved the pc port. RIP Idol Ninja
Idol was the main person behind the official SR2 patch being worked on, too. That was his passion project. I always thought it should have been given much higher priority than making him and just one other guy work on it in their spare time outside of work hours (this is how I recall hearing how it was being worked on anyway). It's really sad how things ended up turning out.
Could i get some context please?@@BadgerGoodger
Google is your answer. @@dutchlinde3574
IdolNinja was the community manager at Volition and worked on mods and fixes in his spare time, sadly he passed away of cancer before the reboot came out. After he passed away Volition promised to finish the pc patch of SR2 and they named one of the reboot gangs after him. But now that Volition has been laid off the patch is pretty much dead now.@@dutchlinde3574
@@dutchlinde3574 IdolNinja was diagnosed with cancer and died about a year before the Saints Row reboot came out. Volition released a statement promising to finish his work (and they left a tribute to him in the new game) but we heard no updates all the way up until they closed their doors. Work was done by Volition, but now nobody knows what's going on. Hate to say but it's likely scrapped at this point.
For me, one of the best things about SR2 was the way they included all of the building interiors used for missions into the main map. I spent so many hours just exploring Stillwater and finding all the hidden places.
The pimp cave haha
I think SR2 is what spoiled me into wanting more interiors in games lol. You play the rest of em and it's like... no creative cribs, no ...everything SR2 has. 3 and 4 have T&A and the casino... only ones I recall. Then they just flipped the bird at us and made TWO interiors other than the copy-past shops. Their apartment, and the HQ. Gotta love how if you do everything to get the "penthouse", it's really just a staging point on a terrace. ...Seriously?
The most important thing to me for Saints Row 2 was how brutal and dark the story is while having sense of humor at the same time. Won't say anything, you gotta play it to see for yourself.
I think that’s what a lot of people, and Volition themselves in the sequels, missed with SR2: **you** were the villain, and the writing made it so playing as the villain was super-engaging…and incredibly progressive for 2008, what with the gender-slider and all.
@@Ebalosus More like there are NO good guys in Saints Row, even the main character which is perfect for me.
@@Ebalosusyou weren't the villain, you were a villain. Everyone in the game was a villian

SR2 is still my all-time favorite video game along with San Andreas and RDR2. The amount of details, the variety of map, so many places to go into, the ability to customize everything, the music, the atmosphere, the humour, the plot... SR2 really showed what video games could do with then-current technology and with enough creativity. Sadly Saints Row became what it is now and we never got another masterpiece. Well, we can still play SR1 and SR2.
man this era of games really made me excited for what gaming could become in the future.

If only these companies listened to their actual fanbase… RIP Saints Row. SR2 is one of my favorite games, great video.
I genuinely think SR2's Stilwater is the best open world ever made. I'm able to have fun at any time, unlike other open worlds.
To this day nothing tops it in my eyes
Saints Row 2 is up there with San Andreas in my opinion. It's such an amazing game. It's a shame we didn't get anything else like it.
I feel that Saints Row 2 is a spiritual successor to San Andreas l0l
@@ryansmith9784you, me, and a lot of other people I know feel the same way. It hit the right balance of serious vs silly, insofar as although you could do silly things, the world and the characters therein treated said world as a serious one. Put simply: playing as a clown in serious world is far more engaging and memorable than playing as a clown in clownworld.

Speaking of the pirate radio I loved how ultor ends up buying multiple radio stations as the story progresses,
on another note while 3 was what introduced me to the series when I was a kid watching my brother play it, im glad I chose to buy and play saints row 2 once I was older because it ended up becoming one of my favorite games of all time
I spent so many hours in this amazing game. The whole tunnel system, the caves, the giant mall, the Greek theater, the amazing vehicles, helicopters, planes, finding shorter routes. Throwing people out the windows of high buildings. Fucking amazing
The thing Saints row 2 got right was this: The player is in charge of the silliness when it comes to the story, it was always was more or less grounded and serious while the player had the choice to make it a bit more whacky with their character customization choices.
Saints row 2 and gta 4 are my favourite games of all time it’s a shame they don’t make games like this anymore
Happy 15th anniversary SR2. What a legendary game.
Saints Row 2 forever in my heart. I still remember how play it first time. My my. What a time. Happy anniversary, one of my favorites game ever.
I remember 14 year old me playing this masterpiece back in the day i miss those times the first 2 Saints Row games will always be some of my favourites

@@MrAjking808 PLEASE, Carl was a bi'tc'h, doornob and doormat extrordinare that didnt stand up for himself, its why Niko was such a better character, he had limits and stood up for himself
carl never once did that save for the very last mission in the game, and that framework of annoying DJ's and being someones doormat is what the based gta 5 on that made it so toxic
like all that is wrong with gta, came from SA, all that is right, was stolen from Saints Row and the driver series
and also all that is wrong, as they literally stole the oppressor from saints row 3 and straight up some of the songs.
actually they even STOLE the Vtol now that I think about it, that 160 Raugul thing is the airplane from saints row 3, just sans a ray gun.

and the game could have been so much better if it was Carl that got picked up and we played as Sweet on the outside trying to save him
and then its him, by extention, the player getting angry at how much of his work got wasted
as that game was just needless padding and a stretched out world map that didnt need to happen

and fleece them dry every 5 minutes
Man 15 years ago I feel so old…
I like that you can buy songs from the store and rearrange them any you want in your own custom playlist.
It’s a really neat feature that is far superior than GTA IV’s Independence FM and GTA V’s Self Radio that both required mp3 files in your local computer drive.
There so many cool Easter eggs in this game as well, like the Jason mask or the giant bunny in the ocean…so many great memories
Saints Row 2 holds a special place in my heart honestly, I got it for free on Steam a couple of years ago with a friend, and I wasn't expecting anything great... until I started toying around with the customization options, and then the story got me thrilled, and then I saw the amount of interactivity and then I started playing the activities on co-op and... ahhh!! I fell in love, and eventually it became one of the very few games I completed 100%
SR2 became the peak in terms of customization options for me, I don't think any game came closer to that, just the fact of being able to see my character untouched in some of the most fun cutscenes (and some really great action cutscenes too) was a bliss.
I wasn't able to persuade friends to play it, mostly because of the PC port or because they just like SR3/SR4, and it's a shame, because they're missing out what I think is the most complete Saints Row game ever.
R.I.P Volition.
I am glad volition died before making more woke trash...phewww close call!
what 💀
I got this for the PS3 in 2011 when saints row 3 was about to be released and I didn't put it down for 2 years. Only briefly when i got 3, beat it then went straight back. It's such an amazing game that I wish I could wipe my memory of it and play it all again.
However I have to say I don't mind AOM. At least they tried something different with with it, if only they could have let go of the saints row branding enough to really let loose with it.
I was the same way after playing and beating SR3 I went directly back to SR2 comparing the two games, they cut corners with SR3
Yes even when I was 12, played Saints row The third and Saints row 2 on ps3 back in 2012 back to back, I definitely noticed a big downgrade in the quality of the details, map, and overall story in The third compared to 2. @ryansmith9784
Before Volition closed down, deep down I was really hoping for a Remaster of this game (for it's anniversary)
Unfortunately that's never happening now.. which is a bummer. 😔
I know the feel, bro. I’m hoping that some one or group can come along and at least salvage the game to make it playable on modern hardware.

It could still technically be remastered but the unfortunate thing is that we won’t know if it will ever happen but given the current trend of remakes/remastered we will see
@@jeffreysolano5717 I want to believe…no really, I do. I was hopeful that Volition was going to after they said they had recovered the source code for the game, but that was the last we heard of it.
Here's another Great Lakes region reference in the game: I always felt that 89GenX was an homage to 89X, the radio station I listened to growing outside of Detroit. It absolutely played the exact same kind of music and the logos were very similar. It was broadcast out of Windsor, Ontario, the city on the other side of the Detroit River, but you could pick it up in most of SE Michigan. I have to believe there were a few Michiganders at Volition.
89X switched to a country station shortly after I moved back to Michigan, which was a bummer.
devs on stream said it was inspired by detorit so yea there ya go
Rad! I had no idea. I feel very validated.@@airboruto23
They definitely did the radio music better
The latter sounds like when Ultor replaced 89GenX in game.
It's funny how it was always seen as a GTA IV competitor specifically, because both of them are orobably my two favourite games of all time.
SR2 is my favorite game of all time, and I'm happy to revisit again years later.
First time I played SR2, I rented it from the local Blockbuster. It was a weekly hire, so I could play it for 7 days. I had so much fun with it that I re-rented it for six weeks in a row. Fucking astounding game.
Yesss dude
There are so many things people never touch on with the first two games, especially two. Like the fact drive thrus work as a drive thru and two door convertibles can have passengers or how every add on light in customizations options, works/turns on and how idle animations for npcs also work with the player character if left alone near a spot. Which adds to the immersion, SR did things GTA wasn't doing and doesn't still do.
SR2 is truly a masterpiece

This is it, my favorite game of all time. Even though it has its share of flaws, it will always be a perfect game for me. There is something so magic about this game, and it’s hard to put it into words. Pure soul, unironically. Every inch of its world is filled with it, and you can tell the developers poured their hearts into making Stilwater into what it is. It’s sad to think that we will never get something like it again and that the series got defiled under absurd circumstances. However, it will always bring a smile to my face to see people sharing these feelings towards this game and being able to experience it. RIP IdolNinja, you will always live on in the Row through your work.
I feel pretty much exactly the same as you.
There is one final tragic part to the story though. The PC Port was very broken and a modder named IdolNinja developed Gentlemen of the Row to try and fix a lot of it. He was eventually hired before the release of the "new" Saints Row, but in that time had managed to get a copy of the PC source code and was working on fixing the game and re-releasing it, it was some way along he estimated 70% but time had to be devoted to finishing off the new game, so it was put away for a time till after release when they could work on it again. In that time IdolNinja got diagnosed with cancer and he passed away. The Steam page keeping track of it was deleted, and then Volition went under. So it will likely never be seen again... again.
That is just my rough quick memory of events.
SR2 had an excellent mix of serious and ridiculous stuff with the story having a lot of great moments to it.
With SR3 it felt like it leaned more into the ridiculous stuff which just ended up making it less interesting.
Nice! Love SR2, and love to see you make a video on it. Here's hoping we get something that captures the same essence one day.
5:38 I can now die in peace that I saw Saul Goodman being the Boss in Saints Row.
Saints Row 2 is such a great game. Definitely one of my all-time favorite open-world games along with Bully, GTA: Vice City and Vice City Stories, and both the original Mafia and its remake, and Driver 1 and 2.
A certified hood classic.
Y’all love posting same cringe meme comments
I was playing this the other day and gta 4 on my x360 slim, something about gems those days had that dream type vibe like am I really playing this dope azz game 🤣😌🔥
I didn't realise Saul Goodman was the main character 😂
At first when I heard that they were making a sequel the same throw I was like "oh cool". Then I played the first one and then I became a fan boy. The absolute freedom and openness that was lacking in most g.T.A games was here. And it's sequel definitely deserves its place among the greatest sequels of all time.
I guess we share the same feelings about this game. I saw this in a videogame shop in Guangzhou after I've got GTA IV (which I love with all my soul). I don't even know why did I buy it... but as soon I ran it, I NEVER regretted since. I made the best random purchase ever. Played my ass off, enjoyed everything.
Why was so hard to follow up this formula afterwards? Most Open World game enthusiast knew this was a masterpiece. They just came worse and worse until it caused the demise of Volition. Oh well... I'm only waiting for more patches on the PC version, which seems to be the only way I can play it.
I remember my uncle giving me all his games in 2010, SR and SR2 included. Probably a combined 2000+ hours on them. Although replaying SR2 recently I found myself being bored and quit midway.
When I was a kid, I got Call of Duty 3 on the Xbox 360 and I begged my mom for Xbox Live so I could play it online only to really not find it all that special. Around the same time, Saints Row 1 was coming out and I was also really hyped for a next-gen GTA like game. And when I got it, let me tell you, it was the biggest treat ever. Such a great open world, excellent controls, awesome customization and modification. But that multiplayer? Oh man, that multiplayer... that is what I truly ended up spending the majority of my time online with. I spent day after day playing Protect Tha Pimp and Blinged Out Ride having the absolute time of my life. For the single player I adored how much detail went into the environments, how there was a ton of places both in and out mission you could explore, how fun it was to just mess around with the physics like drinking booze to give you super strength. Doing the Pimpin' side activity fully to learn you get the pimp cane shotgun that came with its own pimp walk animation was such a treat. That game was chalked full of such goodies.
When Saints Row 2 came out I was hyped - but sorely disappointed in the omission of the competitive online multiplayer. However, the co-op was an amazing substitute. The driving model change from SR1 to SR2 was nightmarish, personally, but everything was so much better. Everything that existed in Saints Row 1 was turned up to 11 in Saints Row 2. Messing with the physics meant I could actually just pick up anything I wanted from the ground, even a stop sign, and throw it or whack people with it. I could just grab people and throw them. The exploration went far beyond what I could have imagined with way more locations to just randomly stumble upon. The story was surprisingly good with insane set pieces, laugh out loud moments, and the game even knew how to get real really quickly. Carlos getting dragged by the truck, and then mercy killed by the boss will forever hurt me. Johnny being stoic, angry, bitter and vengeful to Akuji as he breaks his legs and buries him alive in a casket is a scene that is forever burned into my skull because of just the pure and raw emotional energy it all has. All of the new cast, including your fully voiced boss, were incredibly well written and super memorable. (Side note, if you didn't pick the cockney British voice for the boss you're playing the game wrong. Even an additional side note, did you know the cockney voice was the same guy who played Mr. Sheffield in the TV show The Nanny?) Now there was choppers, choppers, all kinds of watercrafts, it was nuts. The side activities were so much better but above all else the character customization was out of this world. So many clothing and accessory options to choose from, so many ways you could layer clothing items together, so many logos to choose from, tattoos, piercing, crib customization, gang customization, extended vehicle customization, a way better character creator, being able to change your fighting style, crazy melee weapons, oh my god it was amazing. The missions were so, so freaking good too with so much interesting variety. On
I'm really, really sad we will never get another game like Saints Row 2, or even Saints Row 1. It was crazy how such a downward spiral the series became following SR2. But I'm glad we have them in the first place and I'm glad I can go back to them. GTA IV was amazing, and is still my favorite GTA game and one of my favorite games of all time, but the team was right; both games could co-exist together peacefully. The branding of GTA clone really soiled the game's reputation and made Volition pee their pants. But it wasn't a clone. It was special. And we will NEVER get something like that ever again.
yeah.
Yeah the one thing that SR2 did better than most in the genre was the NPCs, I was playing it recently and anyone who has played ek iws about the random streakers that appear, but what I didn't know is that sometimes they go streaking while it's windy out and if you follow them long enough, they'd stop and stand there shivering... The fact that the NPCs all fit each area was also something I loved and even the gang territories fit the style of each gang and the business they were involved in as well as their connections... SR3 was a let down for me, while it was good, what I was expecting was to have something like Pierce turning on The Saints, using his connections to build a splinter faction of The Saints and basically overthrowing The Boss, kinda like Warren for SR1, but way more successful, it could've had a thing where you end up in ICU and you'd wake up and think "not again" also having idle dialogue like "How did this happen twice now?" But the big difference now is that Pierce is the big boss and you'd have to build a crew again, but this time they turn up the customization and you could actually choose what kind of gang you could build like bikers, mafia, racers, etc...
And why would I choose Pierce to turn? Because he's overlooked and stepped on a lot in SR2 and that would make sense to me... But y'know, fantasy creating
Saints Row 2 will always my number one game. Had it on the 360 and playing it again on the series s.
Same here just bought a new copy
This was my first Xbox 360 game. I love the GTA series but I remember seeing commercials for this game and I wanted to check it out. I put so much hours into this game and had some great memories playing this gem of a game.
Nice video! Saints row is basically the alternative reality where GTA 4 didn't happen and they committed to the gang territories and gang theme from San Andreas. Ultimately GTA is a game about robbing banks and stealing cars whereas Saints Row is about building a gang while tearing down others. Saints Row felt more inspired by stereotypes of real life and the idea that there's crime and corruption around every corner whereas GTA went in a cinematic "fast & furious" direction.
I still vividly remember the first time I saw someone playing Saints Row 2. I came over to one of my friends houses after school and his brother was playing it. He was stark naked, running around the power plant with dual GAL 43s on a shooting spree.
Saints row 2 is still one of the best co-op gaming experiences ive ever had..was so fun to do a co-op playthrough of. I wish they didn't lose the source code. rip idol ninja
picking up random things had me playing the game for multiple hours doing random things, most fav was pulling a mailbox an lobbing it at sombody and sayign "delivery" or "mails here"
For me, especially compared to SR1, taking a city that feels very video-gamey and by adding roads and streets and shortcuts, making that same city actually feel like a real place designed by a real person in universe. For example, you need to drive all the way south to the airport if you miss a turn and go through Chinatown instead of Espata in SR1, but in 2, they're so connected they feel almost literally like the same place. It's so cool.
Fingers crossed the patch finally gets released. It's a shame the devs got an untimely demise.
As someone who loved the gta games growing up, this game was truly a great game back in the day when I played it. I definitely felt that this game could be in competition with gta, but yeah it was a shame the other ones that came afterward just weren't the same. I haven't played this game in years, but seeing this video, has inspired me to play it again!
Saints Row 1 & 2 were the peak of my adolescence. I spent countless hours on these games!
The cheat codes in this game were legendary especially doing co op
One of the greatest games of all time to never get a proper remaster. When I first played in 2010, I knew it was a gonna be an all timer and time has proven that. I so badly wanted this series to comeback to this since it got release or any other game to replicate the magic that sr2 had but meh it never came to be. SR2 = best Saints Row ever made.

or tryna survive with evil cars on and low gravity, you could jump over a car but that car might hit something and fly up in to you lmfao
tremendous game, I wish they remade sr2 instead of the third.
i literally just played it for the first time this week (on PC, with GotR). Finished it in one go. I loved many things, from how the driving feels, to how the gang war mechanic works, how many activities there are, how detailed the world is, especially with all those interiors. I was really into all of the gang storylines but my favorite was by far the Brotherhood's. Everyone was just so petty, cruel and vindictive, from Maero to Vogel and even more so, the Saints themselves. I love how calculating, vengeful and ruthless this Boss is.
Shitty performance aside, this game was such a fun experience. I remember the first time I saw a clip of SR2 of someone blowing up the train with the RPG and i was smitten, yet for all these years, i never bothered until now.
This video made me finally bite the bullet after a month of indecision and drop $45 on a PS3 controller, saints row 2 and 3. Can't wait to play them and absolutely amazing video
Saints Row 2 is one game I remember so well from my childhood and I played almost everything. Its just as close as you can get to perfection for 2008, it's so sad nothing really came from it afterwards. Also RIP Idol Ninja, he was doing god's work 🙏

man volition really was a great studio. between this game and red faction guerilla there were some really fun side missions.
I'd be suprised if the higher ups and writers within volition will ever be employed within the idustry again, they made the worst decisions in the history of gaming... the employees on the ground floor actually making the games, did so with passion.
i remember that one mission where one of your homies dies by being dragged by car from a gang :(

This is one of my favorite games ever and I never knew about the college radio station until now. I have over 100 hours probably and I never noticed it because I was too busy doing missions
i personally have always looked at sr 3 and 4 seperate from 1 and 2 as their own games. for me it has allowed me to fully enjoy them and actually like them quite a bit. but 1 and 2 will always be the best
Very good memories of playing this game Just start going downhill after part two would love a remake or remastered of part 2
Year after year, I fire it up and still find places or stuff I never knew about. I'm not talking the hidden locations, just everyday city stuff. No matter how old it is, no matter how many playthroughs... it's still fresh.

One of the most important games to me and my friends in our formative years
I use to play this and saints row iv all the time when I got to go to my uncles house and play his PS3
Masterpiece. Still holds up great too. Saints Row 2 was just a strangely transcendent game, it still has this amazing aura when you play it that you don't get from any other game, especially within its own series. I just played Saints Row 1 this year for the first time and it added a whole new level of context for where Saints Row 2 took the series. While I loved the original, going back to Saints Row 2 again blew my mind, Volition had upped their game so much so quickly. It took the already solid fundamentals of the original game and improved every aspect, made it twice as much fun, and actually followed up the original story brilliantly while still not scaring off newcomers who had no context of the first game. It's so cool to finally fully understand the last scene, back in the small church where it all began.
It's just so sad. Between SR1, SR2, and Red Faction Guerilla, Volition put out games that were stupid fun, but also genuinely innovative and unique. I remember being so excited for Saints Row 3 after playing SR2., but the series began a slow death the day Saints Row 3 released honestly, even though I liked it enough at the time. While it was fun, I could instantly tell that that aura was already gone.
107.77 the mix will always have a place in my heart
I remember spending hours on this game with my brother just kustomizing kars
These were the 2 games that I played back in 2008 non-stop.
You wanna know why SR2 is the best, is because it took what the first game had and improved on it.
Quality>> Quantity.. I love this tyoe of channels
Badger, you said everything I would have said about this game. We witnessed one of the best sandbox games. You mentioned Quinton Tarantino a few times and I gotta agree. He's one of my favorite directors and film makers. I heard he's got one more movie before he's done cause he feels he's at his best and doesn't want to run it into the ground. It's a shame but something I wish Saints Row did. If he went on to write and direct video games that are unrelated to his movies, he'd definitely put out a few games of the year.
Saints Row 3 went through a shit ton of changes from what I remember with the Story showing the downfall of the Saints like that Cancelled Saints Row Undercover (or Saints Row The Fall) game for the PSP. Saints Row IV not being at all what we ended up getting. As Volition has shown in their 10th Year Anniversary for Saints Row back in 2016. Saints Row IV Prime is what they called it and the reasons as to why we didn't get it was because THQ was facing serious financial ruin as we all know and they wanted Saints Row IV to come out as soon as possible to save them. Of course that didn't work as THQ still went Bankrupt and Volition got sold off to Deep Sliver which was an awful purchase for them.
Like Volition's wasn't even all on Saints Row 3 at that time I believe. Because Volition was working on a Survival Horror game called inSANE that by the sounds of how past Volition employees describe it, was gonna play like Monolith's Condemned. But the cancelled game has been widely forgotten for some reason despite Guillermo Del Toro was working with them on that project. It was announced in 2010 and got cancelled in 2012 when THQ was fighting against Bankruptcy. Agents of Mayhem was planned to have way more content then what it ended up getting because of Deep Sliver's meddling and the game selling very poorly. We were supposed to have like 100 Agents. Moscow and I believe Monaco as explorable locations instead of just Seoul, South Korea. There was also gonna be extensive Modding Support for AOM and the Saints Row Reboot but that got cancelled because of the reasons I listed before. As well as I think only a handful of people were working on those mod tools.
Now the Saints Row Reboot is a whole different can of worms. The very short version is that basically the Reboot is Deep Sliver's game. Not Volition. Volition wanted the reboot to be like Saints Row 2.5 from the very beginning. They actively told big members of the Saints Row Community this. And the Story was originally gonna take place right after Saints Row IV where they hinted that they can possibly Time Travel and rebuild their criminal empire with old characters like Johnny Gat returning. But Volition later decided against this as they wanted to try something new entirely instead of rehashing on old ideas. So they decided to just start from scrath but Deep Sliver was heavily against of making Saints 2022 a game focused on Gang Warfare. Not to mention the many rewrites the game got which was 3 or 4. DURING ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT. As well as Deep Sliver constantly belittling Volition. Comparing their works to Rockstar, Turn 10 and Playground games, and Ubisoft (why Ubisoft?) And asking why can't they reach that quality?
Its sad to see Volition die out in the way they did. They were super talented and they could've brought back their Dormant IPs like Red Faction, Summoner, or even Descent. Glad to see CZcamsrs like you talk about how great Saints Row 2 is though.
The Saul Goodman characters gets me.
I was first introduced to Saints Row while home sick for a few days and came across Hiro’s story movie of SR2. I was immediately intrigued and knew I had to play it. These games were one of the reasons I got an Xbox 360 instead of a PS3, and I’ve never regretted it. I own and have finished all of them, even Gat Out of Hell (which I got used for like three bucks 😂).
Non gta vid but i really appreciate it. Classics SRs need more attention from players
Saints row 2 Stillwater is to this day my favorite Open world City ever made.
What it lacks in Size it makes up for in Neighborhood Variety and ton of Building interiors and secret areas to visit, backed up by maybe the most underrated soundtrack of all time. The amount of times ive played this game cant be understated and its the reason i still own a Ps3.
You nailed it about SR3, it's not a bad game, but coming after 2, it's really a let down
I think we all wanted that
Damn I am old I remember going to buy this with my grandma the week it came out ❤
I was always a GTA player cause my older brother was, and so I had never heard of Saints Row until I came across the third one for free (for PS Plus users) on the PS Store one time back in like 2015. I literally fell in love with it. I played the forth one as well but meh, too similar to the third one. Mainly due to the same map. Saints Row 2 I haven't thought much about, but not gonna lie after watching this video I'm lowkey sad I never experienced this game as a child omg. But I'm going to play this soon. Great video!!
Part of me was sad that 3 got a remaster but not this one but then again i doubt they would be able to recapture that magic
Imagine being a fan of open world crime games in 2008. Must be the best year of your life.
I got a ps3 just to play this, and it’s still amazing as the day I skipped school to get this from GameStop.
I played Saints Row 2 on pc for the first time about 5 years ago and it was a really good experience, wish they made something similar nowadays
SR2 is still one of my favorite games of all time and I wish that Volition continued with this format going into 3 and onwards. However, it just feels like 3 is the game that they've truly always wanted to make, since many Volition employees have stated that 3 is their favorite. Knowing that, maybe it was meant to be that the series was gonna be doomed from then on. It's what they wanted, but what they wanted wasn't good.
Being ABLE to portrait as almost any kind of human but Not just the same Carl Johnson(Lean/Buff/Fat), is already a Plus.
Anyone else noticed one of the player characters in the video is Soul Goodman, he even drives yellow car similar to one from the show. Nicely done
