  • Devrishi Narad muni is also known as "a wandering sage" because he wandered from place to place and had no home of his own. Devrishi Narad muni is the possessor of infinite wisdom and knowledge. He is known as a living encyclopedia that knows the entire Cosmos. He is well versed in all subjects such as science, art, music, philosophy, war.

    Hare Krishna. Thank you for this. Any discussion on the great sages is joyful to the soul and purifies the mind. I look forward to your videos, despite what may seem like a challenge here. But it's for a good cause. Far be it for me to create a disturbance, but sometimes when one wishes to ask a question where the answer is already known, where a correction is meant to be offered, many will confuse it as disrespectful, opinionated and duplicitous. Most readers of the comments here will overlook this comment, in fear of its length or for some other reason. For the one or two who continue, you will learn that Narada Muni is alive and very well. You will also learn a little about philosophy and logics. For the rest of the people, they are not, nor care to be, educated in the matter. It is not their fault as Vedic philosophy and Vedic history is certainly one of those topics that society today has largely tossed into the dustbin of mythology. That is a shame for the Vedas present a universe of knowledge that is so inspiring, so bewildering and so grand that earth, its peoples and their understanding is only a very small part of it.
    It is entirely possible that this video made a mistake? Is Narada Muni is still alive?
    This is not a minor detail. If I were to say to you, "He was a great man," it would not be wrong to think that he is no longer living or that he is no longer great. Neither is the case for Narada Muni. This may be an honest editing mistake but in any case it is incorrect.
    The Vedas and Puranas are the authorized books of knowledge, and there is no contradiction with them. So I will put it in the form of a question so that there may be clarity. Please forgive me if I seem ungrateful for this very nice video. But in respect of Sri Naradaji, I must stand up for him for those who may not know of the reality of his immortality... Not that he needs my help, but still...
    Is the lotus-eyed Sri Narada Muni, who has an eternal spiritual body, who travels not only throughout the temporary material universe but also in the eternal spiritual worlds of Vaikuntha and Goloka Vrndavan above that, who is the mind-born son of Lord Brahma (who has a body of pure intelligence), who is the brother of Lord Siva; is he existing still to this day? Has he passed away? On the latter, I don't think so. But in some cases the way he is described here in this video, if he still exists, still sings Narayan, Narayan, glorifying the lord at every step (where every step is a dance and every word a song), playing on his vina, then why is his existence sometimes referred to in the past tense?
    If he still exists to this day and shall "roam the three worlds till the end of time", then how is it possible that simultaneously:
    "He was very intelligent";
    "He had a sharp mind";
    "He had an intellectual property";
    While at the same time he is:
    "Known as the possessor of infinite knowledge";
    "Considered the main leader of the sages";
    "Remain immortal till the end of time"
    ?
    Mythology is often a confusion of the truth, but for most it is fiction only. But if it is fiction, then why was for example, Greek Mythology taught in schools in the 70's (and before that and maybe still to this day). Was it believed to be a worthy topic? But I As understand, there is no confusion about Narada Muni and the topics discussed in the Vedas and Puranas. There may be disagreements, but this is, again, the cause of confusion.
    There are more examples of course, but in that last quote, what is the meaning of his "immorality" if it ends at the end of time? Either he exists or not. Either he is immortal or not. It cannot be both. Your thoughts?
    The Puranas and the Srimad Bhagavatam, the cream of the Vedas and greatest "hits" of the Puranas, never refer to Narada Muni in any other way than he is eternal, and thus ever-existant.
    Regarding time: it is also eternal. The difference is that, as I understand it, it takes effect in the material world and is the cause of impermanence. But Time never ends. How can the words immortal and eternal have meaning if Time ends? Time only "appears to end" after the "end of time," which students of the Vedas understand as the destruction of the universe met by Lord Siva, The Destroyer.
    That is why it is called "the temporary" material world. What the Vedas say about time in the spiritual world is this: "Time is conspicuous by its absence." In other words, in the spiritual world, Time has no effect. No one ages, and thus everyone there is eternal. In fact, every soul, whether embodied in whatever body in the material world of birth and death or free from the temporary mortal coil and situated naturally in their spiritual bodies in the spiritual world, is eternal.
    As Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad-gita, 2.12, in His first instruction to Arjuna:
    "Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings; nor in the future shall any of us cease to be."
    And who can be a better authority than - or who dares to disagree with - Krishna?
    Om tat sat.
    If anyone wishes to judge me or "put me in my place", please know that I will take that as a challenge. We are all grown up's and opinions or illogical arguments have no place. In order to present a proper challenge one must back up what they say logically and with reference to shastra. In other words, one must correctly quote the Vedas or Puranas, which includes the verse number and, if possible, a link for anyone to verify for themselves. I have provided one reference in my closing argument and it is very easily found in every edition of the Bhagavad-gita, the final Upanishad, the most famous of Hindu texts, authored by Lord Sri Krishna. To disagree based on an opinion without foundation or reference is to present a useless argument, and will reveal that one is presently unfit to speak about the subject matter. I stand to be corrected and will admit defeat if properly won. But remember, we should not be confused about the eternality of the sages, the representatives of Bhagavan Vishnu, not the least of which is Narada Muni. All glories, all glories, all glories to Narada Muni. Om namah Sivaya. Om namo Narayana. Om namo bhagavate Vasudevaya. Hare Krishna.

      tbh beautifully explained and reasoned. Your words are true to the core and reflect your attentive study of Srimad Bhagwat Gita. Many people forget these not so minor details because they are ignorant. Not their mistake. The thing is people when given too much knowledge(brain exhausting or not) tend to run away from it and forget.
      this happens because people have not trained their brain muscles. Just like people with weak physique will run away from gym or something like that.
      I tend to do this as well but I teach myself to not ignore when someone is putting an effort to help you with something.
      People don't read these books(I never call them holy) because they don't see any direct and fast effect on in their lives. Like attaining siddhis by practicing yoga mentioned in gita and other books (eg: gorakh-shatakam).
      Hope I could add something meaningful to your reasoning.
      There are other answers as well which explains the conditions of Hindus(humans in general too) but I am ignoring all that cause the answer will become too long.
      Namaste🙏

    In nowadays serials , Naarad Maharshi has been displayed as a character who spread envity between Devatas and Rakshasas and even starts fight between gods. But this is not real. He was acting like a catalyst who increases the rate of action. He plays a vital role in most of the stories. We can see him even in our great Epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata. He was an ardent devotee of Lord Narayan and used to always chant the name of his God.

    Jai Shri Krishna, Jai Shri Ram.
    राजा राम और प्राचीन मिस्र के बारे में दिलचस्प खोज जो आपको बताती है कि प्राचीन दुनिया कितनी जुड़ी हुई थी:
    प्राचीन मिस्र कुछ हज़ार साल पहले।
    1. प्राचीन मिस्र की भाषा में रा का मतलब सूर्य होता है। रा को 2000 ईसा पूर्व के आसपास लोगों द्वारा एकेश्वरवादी तरीके से पूजा जाता था।
    2. एक नया मिस्र का शासक दृश्य में प्रवेश करता है और अपने विशाल साम्राज्य पर शासन करने के लिए संघर्ष कर रहा है। वह खुद को भगवान घोषित करता है ताकि उसकी प्रजा पर आसानी से शासन किया जा सके। उन्होंने खुद का नाम बदलकर रामसेस कर दिया, जिसका शाब्दिक अर्थ प्राचीन मिस्र की भाषा में रा से है, जैसा कि मानवविज्ञानियों द्वारा समझा गया है।
    3. उसके बाद रामसेस नाम के कई बाद के राजा हुए क्योंकि सभी अपनी प्रजा से पूर्ण समर्थन चाहते थे और ईश्वरीय दिखाई देते थे। कइयों के पास कोई न कोई कहानी थी जो रामायण के Sri राम से मिलती जुलती थी।
    4. रामसे/राम के बारे में कई पौराणिक कहानियां धीरे-धीरे पहले उपजाऊ अर्धचंद्र (मेसोपोटामिया/सीरिया) के माध्यम से पूर्व की ओर फैल गईं, फिर भारत से आगे पूर्व में जावा बाली, चिआम्पा (वर्तमान दक्षिण वियतनाम), खमेर (वर्तमान कंबोडिया) और सियाम ( थाईलैंड में वास्तव में अयुत्या नामक एक शहर है)। सभी स्थानीय लोगों ने राजा भगवान राजा राम की कहानी को और संशोधित किया और स्थानीय स्वाद जोड़ा।
    क्या हम सब जुड़े नहीं हैं? क्या मानव इतिहास अद्भुत नहीं है? 🙏
    मैं किसी से भी दिल से माफी मांगता हूं, जो किसी भी तरह से आहत हुआ हो क्योंकि इसका इरादा नहीं था। मैं केवल मानव अनुभव को उजागर करना चाहता था।
