- Here at Schwa MotorSports we have a car addiction, but we know it and admit it. The Schwaps Collection is going to give background and story to all of the cars we own, well we might group some of the 20 non running cars into one video.
In this episode we are talking about our 1984 VW Rabbit GTI VR6 Turbo. The Rabbit was built as a show piece of what we were capable of and to have some fun with the VR6's capacity. So come along for a drive in the Rabbit, enjoy the ITB VR6 Turbo sounds, and all the different things we've had to do to get it to where it is today.
I hope you enjoy the video and consider coming back for more content like this.

So much cool custom stuff in this build! Outstanding work man!
Thanks! And I’ve got plenty more to come :)
This is super amazing! As a VR6 owner myself, it makes me happy 😊
Thanks, can't have enough VR6s, we have a turbo 24v in our 88 Pontiac Fiero, putting one in our Baja Beetle, a 3.2 Turbo in our Audi TT, and Im sure I will be installing more :)
@@schwamotorsports7792 love it! 3.6 touareg here and my good ole mk3 GTI VR6. Will be following along! Hope you will follow us too 😊
I will! Thanks :)
Cool build!
Thank you!
Nice!
Thank you!
You build very nice interesting cars mate 😉
Good job 👍
Thanks! I love my weird collection :)
Hey man, I love the knowledge and tech ! I'm a rookie VW mechanic that's starting a VR swapped rabbit convertible soon. I have 4k camera equipment and would love to help you film some more VW stuff for your channel! I'll film it all for free if you want to get me out there 🤘 Cheers !
Thanks Spark, I am learning my way through it all, not sure where you are located, but I am such a DIY person I want to be able to do every bit of it. Thank you for the offer though :)
sub'd!!!
Thank you! I appreciate it, you won’t be disappointed with all the projects around here :)
Really nice build but very over done...way simpler..reliable ways to do this.
Totally agree with that to some aspect, what simpler and more reliable ways are there to get ITBs, a turbo, and 6 cylinders in a Rabbit? You can easily get way more power than usable in a Mk1 even with the JH, but for my specific goals(VR6, turbo, itbs) I don’t know of any easier way than I took :)
Also I 100% take “very over done” as a compliment, I wouldn’t want it any other way :)
How so? How would accomplish a turbo VR6 in a Mk1, and not have it be a haggard hack job?
