Thanks for the video! I'm checking out a Zoe with a charge port failure soon, do I really need power resistors? I assume the sense circuit won't generate a lot of current?

Good afternoon Tell me, sometimes this error appears: DF030(0841F3) Rotor position sensor circuit.
It's warmer now and she appears even more often. What could it be?
    Thank you!

Hello, great to see some EV Mechanics at work ! I was wondering, I am having problems with my Zoe 40, there seems to be an ENGINE WEAR SENSOR. The value of this sensor should be smaller than 1,2, mine is 1,4 and so I am having the message "electric engine" in the display all the time. Renault doesn't want to repair it and tries to sell me a new engine.... do you have any experience how to fix it, or is it possible to bridge or trick this sensor ? The engine is running normally.

Things you can never do on a Tesla. Good stuff. On second thought, this is lab-scope/pico -scope so not filtered data. Being tested directly.

Did you find someone to repair your Zoe?

@@willemajorwilliemajor476 I did lol, was frightfully expensive, £2565 for a charging port, charging filter and rectifier. It was ok for a week after that then had danger electrical failure warning so back to Renault who found out the BMI software was out of date. They had to wipe all the ECUs and reinstall the latest software it cost an extra £600. So to get the Zoe Charging reliably it cost in total £3165 not to mention the stress and inconvenience that was priceless lol.

Making me go back through my EV course notes with OVA in Wales........I'm sure we did a deep dive on this subject......btw, those resistance values are THE (secret!) knowledge every EV tech should know about charge lead problems. and also....Pico (you) should see what Harlow College are up to this month on EV.....they've upgraded their whole EV kit...including an expensive new rig!. Regards Jamie.
