I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

The producers were saying that this was the first time they have dedicated a whole show to one guest. That’s amazing. Seeing BTS on American tv is almost like a normal thing now lol. And I love it.
The Bighit commentary video was really good. I love seeing the creative process. I listened to those songs with even more appreciation after that. Could’ve sworn that I heard the gospel choir singing in korean for the song Friends.

Yes like I mentioned it means a lot for them to do that! 😆 so glad BTS is getting the treatment they deserve!
You can see the gospel choir sing in korean in the documentary, i think it was for we are bulletproof. I think they did all the choirs and instruments for the whole album with the people you see in the documentary :) Probably even more people that we didn't even see, like some guitarists and stuff.
It was also the most expensive episode ever

The thing about it is that it’s so unexpected in a song like this. But yes his vocal is out of this world! Haha 😆
Also, BIGHIT is giving credit to whom it is due, they placed value on the people who took part in the making of this album not only BTS
Yess lots of people behind BTS that makes them the success that they are. Their whole team is genius!
I loved hearing the other dancers hype them up at the end.
I feel so sad that Jin has still been saying that he doesn’t think he should dance or that he is bad at dancing. He is so great and I can see how much he has improved, how hard he’s been working to become a better dancer and I’m so proud of him. Kim Seokjin is a amazing dancer and performer.

He is not bad at dancing AT ALL. Not just anyone can keep up with the likes of JHOPE and Jimin, so for all of them to blend together is a testament that they’re all amazing dancers! 😊

The Jungkook solo proves our connection with the angelic realm...it literally takes your breath away. I can imagine being in the presence of an angel when I hear his singing. Unreal performance!! It's definitely "ON" now (their presence can't be turned "off" now) They are kings on the world stage! I love it! Thanks for this video!
Agree with everything you said! Watching the documentary also made me emotional. You're right, it's so refreshing to hear positive comments about them from fellow artists. I love how the commentary are from musicians who barely know them/heard of their music but remained open-minded and felt the sincerity behind it. I'm glad that it highlighted BTS' music and how it's driven by the members' passion and sincerity, and as you said, without all the other aspects (like ARMYs). Sometimes I feel like media focus too much on the "crazy" fanbase or the promotion (those things) that they forget/not realize that BTS didn't get this big overnight, that they didn't have this many fans before. And that gaining popularity really wasn't/isn't their priority. They just keep on making music that speaks to all of us and that's how ARMY keeps growing in number. Ah, that was one of the best videos I've watched 💜

I was so entranced by the choreo I almost forgot that they're singing live 😂 ha, this album really.. I love it more each time I listen to it. Have you listened to the whole album already? (last time you said you haven't listened to Filter yet haha)
I think people who genuinely love music will always have some sort of appreciation for new things - that’s why those guys on the commentary had so much positive things to say about BTS. Genius recognizes genius :)
I have listened to the album once! Haha. I was actually filming a reaction but halfway through I realized that they’re going do most of these songs at the concert so I think I’ll reserve my reaction for those. I also felt a bit awkward doing a first listen cause it was just mainly me bopping lol 😂

I think the best part of the reaction, other than your genuine appreciation, is your view that the timing of this album is perfect because the public is primed and as ready as possible to appreciate the full experience of BTS. I certainly hope so. These young men and their many many teams of various types of support, have worked so hard and richly deserve heaps of appreciation. =)
Yeah I think everyone is playing for the long run. When they resigned the new 7 year contract, that entailed a 7 year content plan. Everything is managed to T! 😊
Hi Jeff, Loved your in depth reaction. I love your insight and genuine fandom of BTS. I loved Suga's move as you pointed out. Mr Suga does have some moves.... For someone who was told no dancing involved. He is awesome. I also love Jimine and Tae high fivin after the leap. The vocals were fabulous. How they keep on pitch while doing the choreo to that level blows me away. Thank you for your unique reaction. I love them.

I am just wondering how they would pull this off in the concert and their first comeback stage
i'm thinking that maybe in the rosebowl concerts they are going to have a few of the lab dancers, but i don't know about the other concerts
Would most likely be their dancers from their past tours.
They always have a whole dance crew with them on tour afaik. You always see them when they perform Fire or Not Today. But i'm curious about the music shows too.
Same as they pulled off dionysus on every concert last year with all the props and dancers
I just watched their music show performances of black swan and ON, this is probably how they will do it in the concert. The marching band was what I was after, a real one would be more epic

I used to dance in high school (just for school events, not seriously) and I totally got flashbacks to that weird tingly, like buzzing feeling you get in your feet after a tough dance LOL. Also I feel the same way about the commentary video, wow I love BTS so much 🥺

I haven't watched it but I so agree with what you stated. The world, politics, is so going backwards. I'm 65+ and I cannot understand why we are not going more forwards. I love BTS for their ability to draw all colours, cultures and ages together. This is how we should be at this stage in the human life. There is no colour or culture more superior than the other. We need to understand this before certain humans destroy the colour and cultures of the world!! I hope I can watch it soon!!!
BTS, is phenomenal and proved many times that they can carry a show from beginning to end.
Listening to your thoughts, I have started to notice that they are morphing as each other, they are so keyed into one another that they can move and perform as though they are as one in their transitions and vocals!!!

It's already been a year but I'll just comment😂 when you said "your blood goes to your feet" I felt that once, like I did stomping once and 2-3 times a group dance and It feels like.. ughhhh.. like all the blood is sucked out of your body.. and for the stomping... It was like on every beat of the words (we did on a Bible Verse which had like THE longest verses ever) and we did it for a competition, we made all the moves by ourselves and some inspo from YT. We did win 1st place but.... Oh gosh...😵 We had to recite the verse on beat and there was no mic so it had to be double clear and loud. It's like singing and dancing at the same time... Omg....

I am so happy to find you. Love to find someone who appreciates dance so much. I took dance for ten years as a child. Enough to develop a little bit of grace but a huge amount of appreciation for the art form. You always stop on the parts that I love and everyone else just glosses over. New subscriber. I was wondering who was dancing with them. It is The Lab dance crew. (So, your comment about being a battle makes sense.) They were in the music video and Grand Central. It was choreographed by a young woman (19 at the time) named Sienna Lalau who is a Lab dance member. She also danced with them. Pretty sure she is in the very center shots of the beginning formation of Grand Central and Kinetic Manifesto.

Jeff you're right! This was Jimmy Fallon, his show and network putting an exclamation point after BTS' name and their talent undeniable in one go. Simply unfathomable! This is why I am OT7. This is one of those songs where I just go from one member to the next. It's a wonderful frustration to have. 😁

That move you’re saying is in between beats hits on the lyrics instead and that’s why it works so well. Kinda like how Jimin hits his moves on the high hat during the dance break. It adds so many layers when they can switch where they hit the moves.

BTS did 3 or 4 full takes of this performance; if you notice, there is a clock behind and in Suga's solo, the clock doesn't sync with the rest of the performance. ARMY has said Suga's solo was from take 2, the rest of the performance was from take 3. I can't imagine they managed to do another full take, perhaps they did?? Anyway, crazy props to BTS, no one else does it like them and thank you Jimmy Fallon for setting up a proper stage in NYC for a performance of this song.

It's also like a war cry to announce and claim their rightful position in the global entertainment industry, by telling their naysayers to bring it on, they are ready for anything thrown their way.

I loved BWL, but this is a battle song, and I think that now is an appropriate time for them to release something like that, especially with the American elements the song has. It feels like they're once and for all proving to whoever has doubted them or not taken the seriously (90% of Western media I'm looking at you) that they ARE world class performers who deserve every single bit of praise that they receive
