Love from Japan. 🇯🇵🇯🇵
love your content and keep up with the great video.
Amazing the calmness you have
Thank you for sharing your gifts of talent and skill 🙏
That first pull does more work than three of mine!
Beautiful. The lighting, shape, music and most of all your talent is just inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Your effortless artistry is inspiring. Love these posts Matthew!
Thank you. Glad you enjoy them
Beautiful, thank you for sharing! :)
is the flange on the top of the neck part so that you have clay available on the inside as well as the out side to assist in a good join, i plan to have a go of a 2 piece vase or pot in the future. thanks for sharing. i like both types of videos, no sound so you can concentrate purely on what your hands are forming with the clay and talking backs up what you are doing. thanks, just love your channel
I remember watching the original video on this, never gets old. Neat to see how you did the two part then and how you do it now. Awesome.
Makes a change in dim moody lighting Matt.
Great throwing as usual you make it look so very easy :) hehe.
This is one of the complicated section pots from you, very helpful to beginners & potters alike.
Thanks for the video. Love all your "inspirational" videos.
PS: You are always saying there's no such thing as a perfect pot! I think I have to disagree with that assumption: This one is .
You are amazing! Wish I could study under you.. I started pottery at 62, Im now 68 and I still cannot make bigger objects.. you make it look so easy
Beautiful video! I’m going to brave throwing a two-piece vase soon! I was wondering, how long do you wait for the first piece to dry b4 attaching the 2nd?
I usually make them one day and let them dry overnight lightly covered with plastic. They’re past leather hard but hard to describe how dry.
You make this look so easy! And I know it’s not.
Do you have an idea when you will have more wares in your etsy shop?
I’m planning a sale on my website in February. I’ll announce the date soon
What type of clay are you using
Hestia from Highwater, high temp stoneware for my reduction gas kiln
Is there any benefit or opportunity to throwing in two parts?
There’s definitely a benefit. I do it because I can make larger pots with better form using two sections one larger clay ball.
