I don't normally draw people, but i have found good use in your drawing and comic book videos. I am currently trying to create main characters for my first comic *just for fun* about wolves, this is a lot easier thanks to your drawing and comic videos. Drawing videos have helped me remember a couple of important steps to drawing, and have helped me a lot on the eyes. Comic videos have helped me know the best layouts and "sound effects". Also they have helped me know to write a script and sloppy copy sketches *Thumbnail sketch* and have remembered to outline my sketch in ink pen. Basically, Your videos are a lot of help :P And I don't read much comics myself, but i plan on buying one of yours, since i can get so many examples :D

Japanese comic when translated to English do sometimes tell you what the sound effect is. A lot of Japanese comics as he pointed out have sound effects for heartbeat and things you wouldn't necessarily think about. One manga I read had the sound effect "ga" and it was translated as "grab" instead of an actual sound. And then there was "Zaaa" translated as "leap" and another was "gu" for "strain". If your going for a Japanese comic aka manga style and sound effects, look out for those.

I have worked for several Japanese based companies and have gotten to know quite a few people from Japan over the years and I have noticed before this, that they tend to use quite a bit of sound effects when describing different things or just in conversation in general. I just figured it was to help get the idea or point across from English being a secondary or I need to learn some for when I go to the US. I never noticed it near as much working with Germans or Mexicans.

I was also wondering, you use screen tones right? I wanted to start learning how to use them but I don't know where I would get them or HOW I would use them. right now I am just creating even shading and making them darker and lighter where needed. It works, but it doesn't look professional. Maybe you could give a tutorial on how to use screentones? given that you do use them that is.
