Mae Jemison, First African-American Woman in Space

In 1992, Mae Jemison flew into space aboard the Endeavour, becoming the first African-American woman in space. Jemison shared her story of growing up in the 1960s. "There were so many things we thought we could change and do," she said during a discussion of interstellar travel at the 2016 Aspen Ideas Festival.

I saw an article where they were talking about how she was the only person who had positive effects from being in space. Now I can’t find that article no matter how hard I look. For the longest time she look incredibly young for her age, even for a Black woman. She’s 65.
