- There are many dangers while building OFF-GRID! Sometimes my determination gets the best of me, and I push the limits too far!
It's better to slow down, and wait for a helping hand, especially in REMOTE, ALASKA.

Your lack of cussing is admirable 😂 Was like a sailor saloon around my build.
So F***in proud of you guys!!! Fantastic job, great team work. Set your sights on a dream, where failure is not an option and you’ll be totally amazed at what you can achieve. Bravo! Oh and hey your video chops ain’t looking too bad either 😉
Thanks for all of the help and inspiration Matt! We couldn't have done it without you!
At times that was really scary. Please be careful. Don't rush. This is the beginning of a new adventure, a new journey so stay safe so you can enjoy it for years to come. ❤
Your doing great. You will be a true blue carpenter by the time this home is done. Just stay safe and KEEP CALLING MATT ! 😊

I'm so glad!
Pretty soon you'll be moving in.Hi from Colorado Springs 😀
Great progress, love the energy!!
Great job guys. Watching from Wollongong, Australia 🇦🇺
Great job you two!!
Great job
Great, now I have to buy a snowmachine just so me and the wife can take turns pulling each other around. That looks so fun!
Do it! do it!
Love it 💕 Great work 👍
You both are learning and doing a great job at it. 😊
Just taking it day-by-day. Thanks for being here!
Who says you have to have a mountain to snowboard? LOL. Are you building a 12'x16' cabin with a loft? I am 76 and I gave up snowboarding 8 years ago for health reasons and I miss it. You guys are doing a good job, glad Matt is available to help out when you need it.
Hi John, we are building a 12x12 cabin with a 6 1/2 ft loft.
Love watching you two.
A 12/12 is a very steep slope to work on . Good for the snow.
Mat sent me over here. Ya'll are doing a Great job.
Thanks for coming
New sub. From watching Tim and Matt
Looking good!
I spent all day yesterday looking for my tape measure and all I had to do was wait till somebody dropped theirs off of a snowboard. I was watching you try to get that beam up there and all I could think was... come on Macho Man, let's get this done! Good progress though. Mid April and the rafters are up. Gotta feel good about that.
Feeling damn good! Thanks David
My dad always had me hold stuff. “The human clamp.”
Sure, is a heck of a lot of better than that ambulance of yours! Awesome job Steve!
Absolutely! I've come a long way since my homeless ambulance days!
What a wonderful team you two make! That nail gun is so big. I can see the challenge of handling it. Add in the height and ladders and I say you both are very brave.
I love this so much for you ❤ brings tears to my eyes! Yessss!!!!!!!!!
New Subscriber, watching from Cebu, Philippines 🌴
Kumusta! (pilipino ang asawa ko). We LOVE Cebu. House of Lechon!!
Learning as you go ..there's been many like you before...and everyone got smarter!
Thank you! One step at a time!
Google is your friend❤❤❤
Yes that's not real safe alone. Be safe.
It looks great!! Good job!
New sub! I watched this episode (it was a suggested video) and immediately liked, Subscribed and hit the little 🔔 so I don't miss a new episode. I'm also going back to the beginning and watching all the videos. I love love that you don't leave me hanging on what you're doing and leave the mics on so I can hear you talking things through. You both do cute and make a great team. Much love from Rhode Island, USA Terry 🙏💙❤️
Hey! Thank you so much! Your support means a lot to us ❤
Hello good to see you on here. Do you all work outside the home? What are you going to use the cabin for ? Keep up the good work.
Hi there. In the summer we both work and live at a Remote fishing camp.
We plan to live in this tiny cabin, while we build the main house…eventually. 😊
😂...good job.
Babe!
Babe!
Wake up! Home Sweet Home Alaska just posted a new video!
🤣🤣 you crack us up!
Looking great!! Just be careful leaning from side to side - it can really mess up with your balance.
you know Tess, currently it Reminds me of the Halpin's band shed back in T-town.
Haha. It’s not big by any means. We will be living in this tiny cabin, while we build the Main House/Cabin. Eventually this will be a guest cabin! 😊😊
I'm planning on doing a single slant roof cabin, like a lean-to just so I don't have to figure out the rafter math.
You got the main thing lumber and work bench lol
Do you have a framing square. It will tell you the line length of your rafters at any pitch you want.😅
Ok. You have a guy up there that knows how to build.
💪👍
Bro wish I could come and help you and learn how to myself for free!😎
You seem much too intelligent to be snowboarding at that speed without a helmet.
Then nail guns weigh a ton.
Ooof! You’re right about that!!
Call Matt
Haha, we did. He helped with a lot of calculations.
Please tell your wife not to hold on to the material, on the opposite side that your nail gun is on . That will get a nail thru the hand. Have seen it happen.
I'm a carpenter of 48 yrs. I like to watch others with their build but by the time I see your vids, it's a little to late. I may comment on things from time to time but will never critize. I live in Edmonton Alberta , Canada. My name is Dan. If you need to know something. I could give you my E mail address. Thank's
