    Wait. If this technique existed all along then why did they not apply it for metro construction?? The span seems enough for the metro viaducts. It would have avoided so much disruption! U-girders are great but they still come in pair, while this solves all those problems...Can anyone explain why they don't use this technique for metros?

    • @abhinavv8905
      @abhinavv8905 Před 7 měsíci +3

      The reason I think, as we know metros are mostly constructed on city urban areas(Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, etc) where space will be less and heavy traffic will be there on roads and this is very huge and heavy machine which needs too much space and this is used to create bigger platform to run but whereas metro requires very small platform(girder) to run and compare to bullet trains the height from ground (pillars) and width of platform of metro is very small

    • @Adrenaline_chaser
      @Adrenaline_chaser Před 7 měsíci

      @@abhinavv8905 well the machine's size wouldn't really be a problem since it operates only on top of pillars, so it won't interfere with the traffic below. As for the size of the viaducts...yeah they do seem to be a bit bigger overall, but not that much difference. But then again: can't they just build something a bit smaller, suitable for metros?

    • @abhinavv8905
      @abhinavv8905 Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@Adrenaline_chaser as we know cities like Bengaluru Delhi is full of buildings which may trouble when using this machine and using this machine inside city is much difficult (I am in Bengaluru and right now they are using small digging machine for pillar foundation and cranes for keeping girders and this only requires much space to build which is creating heavy traffic, so imagine bringing those kind of heavy machines)
      And second thing this machine is used to build high speed rail lines like bullet trains but metros does not requires high speed lines because as it runs inside a city the distance between two stations is very less
      And another thing is safety, the land in city sides are very soft and pillars can easily fall down while construction (before 1-2 months 1 pillar fallen down (on vehicles) while heavy raining and caused severe injury) whereas outside city area (forest and plain land) the the land is very hard and pillars will not fall (except river side) also there will be no people on those areas
      It's just my opinion, it might be right or wrong
