I know this video is two years old, but I’ve been kind of watching all your X-Win unboxing recently. I also picked up my own A-Wing yesterday. It’s really cool and I’m excited to try it out!!
The silvered paint job is a nice surprise, wasn't expecting that from the preview.

I personally prefer the red and white paint job as I think it makes it more unique but I’m not complaining for this now we just need like Hera as a pilot!!!! 😁😁😁😁

The details on the new one really pop because of the copious wash used on it, but I prefer the classic colours. Nostalgia for me.

I like the new paint job and will certainly be getting at least one of these.
Definitely love the detailing and overall scheme, but the grey seems a bit heavy and out of place next to the other A-wings.

As someone who never played first edition and thus never had the chance to use any previous A-wings, I'll definitely be picking this one up soon. I'm really glad to finally see these reprints of the classic ships since I didn't have any ships to convert with in the first place.

You need proof of purchase if something breaks or is lost, FFG/Asmodee will happily send you a replacement if you send them a photo of the ship with the p.o.p.
Glad to have the A-wing back in 2.0. I mean, there was the conversion kit but, for new players that can be kind of inconvenient.
What's sad is that the Green Squadron art is actually red.
I like the new paint job but I do wish this one was special and we had another chance to get the original paint job as it's extremely hard to come by
Yeah, as someone who got into x-wing at the turn to 2.0 it's kind of irksome not being able to get the classic red a-wing.

No real Ace in this ship is a crime. But paint job realy nice.
I bought the y wing for the remodel and the most noticeable is just the turret. So yeah I'm getting this for paint job haha
It think the new paint job is better than the old ones.
I feel like for reprints they should do new paint jobs and the cards that are going in the hot shot and Aces pack to give people incentive to buy them. It wouldn't be that hard to do an imperial repaint just add a blood stripe or something

I'm glad most people seem to like the colour scheme (from the comments) but to me the colour scheme is too similar to the RZ-2 a-wing and makes me feel it would be more at home in a scum list. Although I've always thought of A-wings being so temperamental they tend to blow up before they get old.
The repaint is nice but I am still of the opinion that we are in need of more RZ-1 A Wing Pilots for 2.0. I would be more willing to rush out and get this expansion if there were at least two new pilots for this ship.
I think we are at a safe enough time for FFG to start putting new pilots in the reprint expansions in order to help boost the sales. I doubt anyone will get too mad about that now that we are well into 2.0.

It's a Phoenix squad repaint from when they were still under the command of Jun Sato. Its thr first pic when you google pheonix squad a-wing.

Yep Phoenix squadron and blue accents on the edges of the craft while silvery in the middle

Am I the only guy who only uses one base-peg on A-wings and TIE Interceptors? I feel like a lower base set makes me look more "zoomy" and fast!
Mark Allen I used it for all my ships and I fly Xwings Bwing and a Ywing Bwing is flown sideways

I don't rate the wash on this. I can see they were going for a weathered look but it does not really add to the model, perhaps it could have been better if it was a little less strong and more panel-line shading than full on dark wash.
Hmmm i got a question to all Version 2 Players:
Since u started before v2 came out, i dont have anything from V2 so would it be worth it when i buy the conversion kits? because it would be 120 $ and i dont know
If you have friends who already play x-wing as well why not? I'd recommend sticking with one or maybe two factions.You would only need one faction conversion kit and maybe a damage deck to start. I much prefer 2.0 to v1.

Again, the Quick Build cards here are different from the Quick Builds listed on FFG's website. Phoenix pilot is very different being priced at 3 orange marks for two of them with only Proton Rockets (FFG's website version). I guess it is not a thing for meta focused list players. However, for the dining room table while playing with their kids in the slim extra time after work and homework casual type folks that don't build X-wing lists to play, it is very annoying that the Quick Builds and their cards seem to be an exclusive locked behind a purchase of 2.0 single releases. Quick Builds is one of the things that got me to return to X-wing from 1.0. It was too time consuming to process the library of cards and build lists. We never even play the same ships twice. X-wing in my house is sort of toy box meets board game. Thus, we either played naked ships or (the reality over time) X-wing didn't get played at all. If FFG wants to add options to Quick Builds, great. GREAT!!! However, it would be nice if they put all Quick Build versions in their online lists. I have plenty of 1.0 A-wings, a (actually 3 for all the 1.0 factions I have) conversion kit, and a 2.0 core box to use them. I should not have to buy a 2.0 model just to get the fast way to put the 1.0 model on the table. I am also buying 2.0 versions of stuff that came out after we stopped playing (assuming FFG keeps re-releasing) so FFG is getting their pound of flesh from me. Why do they have to be all "3 dice in a core box"-y about Quick Build cards? Do they want the casual family game night players or not?
Yeah, it is a pretty painting, but the cards are meh :/
