Mate, it's not as if Cathedral City's all that, when it comes to cheese nor are Heinze when it comes to beans. Good honest review, mate. Spread da word✌️👍
@@fatandy There are, and if some folks don't get it that you're a food review channel, that it's up to folks to make up their own minds and that you said it was a massive rip off gimmick....well, what's to be said, mate🤷🙄😉😁!
One pound eighty for a can of fucking beans. The absolute state. It might be time to buy a good pressure cooker and make your own navy and haricot beans for your toast. They're charging you £1 minimum for the water in the fucking can. Edit: I forgot to say, I love your videos Fat Andy!
I hope you don't mind me watching and commenting alot on your CZcams videos today but they're taking my mind off things with having my 83 year old mom in hospital and it's touch or go 😢👍
The best product that Heinz ever made was....Curried Beans..they were great..a few sultanas with a mild cuury flavour..good to have on toast when it was a bit cold...anyone else remember these?..the modern version is just means with some artificial tasting flavour..as for cheesey beans pffff...
£1.80 for a tin of beans! Absolutely crazy mate, and the tin's not even full! I like a lot of the Cathedral City stuff you get in Iceland but it's always expensive and this is taking the mick!
Andy better to buy a tin of Aldi own label baked beans and put a quantity of grated cheese and stir in, much cheaper and probably tastier 👍👍😁, so many cons out there. 👍👍😁
I'm with you on this one andy ,, a corporate rip off.. all of the Heinz products are over priced in my opinion , I wont pay for them.. Like you say making your own is the way forward.. cheers andy. 😎🍽
Tesco - 59p for a tin of haricot beans, 30p for chopped tomatoes. Spices are store cupboard. Everyone has them. Make your own for less than half the price. Nearly £2 for a tin of beans!!!!
Wow whoever in charge at heinz for new ideas n products to further the company has got balls off steel...boss says "So what have you come up wiv then"...he says "Put cheese in the beans innit"...boss goes "Fantastic idea dunno how you come up with these creations lets go too the pub" 😂
I don't think we have these in the states... and these "new" trials are usually overpriced.. until they see they are selling .. & then it creeps down..= sales volume drives the pricing. & it is a convenience food yes...? Ok, grab a regular can of beans take the time/effort to grate cheese or put slices of Cathedral cheese into it &..? bet it costs more if you're actually using the name brand cheese.? It's very odd... grocery pricing has gone "nutz" here in Pennsylvania, USA & then we get these crazy deals.. my local grocer, ACME is offering Maruchan dried Ramen noodle soup packs for 9 cents each.. that's $0.09/per .. ok, limit is 4 .. but they do this her to get you in the store.. the food chain is going insane... Peace.
I don't think that it is these companies that are to blame, they wouldn't spend as much time and money coming up with these gimmicks if they didn't sell, and they must sell for one reason, because of how lazy some folks have become. Grated cheese in bags have been selling for years, and most of us know that if you bought a lump of cheese for the same price and grated it yourself, you would probably get three or four bags full. As you say Andy, like me, you would buy a tin of beans and grate some cheese with it, but some are just too lazy to use a grater. Bit like sliced carrots or mushrooms, diced and peeled veg etc. There is a line between 'convenient' and just pure laziness, and I think that more cross that line that what we may realize.
I agree with you, things that are pre cut and ready are really expensive, I prefer to do it myself, I have been guilty in the past of buying pre grated cheese, but more times than not, I buy a block and grate it myself 👍🏻
You have to understand the young fools today that can't open tins with a tin openner. The gimmicks today are based on the idea the youth of today can't or won't cook, so we get so much rubbish, modern society!
Hi Andy .. Tesco gave me 6 free cans of Branston baked beans with my delivery a few days ago.. I’m a Heinz boy but I have to admit because of prices going up.. I’m absolutely in favour of these branston beans .. it had more beans in the tin and to be honest weren’t that bad.. I would like you to try them out plus a few other items.. if you get a chance to go to Morrisons can you review these .. The best Gourmet collection 6 Cherrywood smoked Hotdogs.. I personally love them but I’d love to see what you think 👍👍 cheers mate
Branston beans are lovely, been buying them for a few years, though I have got into the Aldi beans just lately, next time I’m in Morrisons I’ll have a look for those hotdog sausages 👍🏻
I will not but heinz. As they are way overpriced now. And the contents are less. Get cheap Aldi beans. Sprinkle with some cheese. Job done. And a lot cheaper
For £1.80 for the amount of cheese why not just buy a cheap beans and add some cheese in to it. All this does is get more shelf space in the supermarket for the brand. There is no way any beans are worth more than even half that price. The tin was not even full. you may be getting 30g of cheese. but then you are not getting a full tin of beans. 390g the 42p bramwells or standard ones are 28p in aldi are 410g or 420g the aldi website seems to have both sizes which may mean there are going to reduce the tin size to keep the price. So Heinz are stealing 20g of bean weight off you as well as charging you £1.80 for a bloody baked bean pure and simple brand name pushing its weight about. treating the customer as Mugs, and ripping them off with it. I would not even bother ever buying Heinz cost far too much for what you get. You also miss off buying a cheap tin and adding cheese to amount you like, But by doing that you are increasing the weight of what you end up with.
@@fatandy i had this debate with the misses same as mcains we paid £4 for 1kg chips opened them nearly all had black bits i then went tried tesco 900g bags for £2 not one black bit on any of them and they was lovely far better for half the price these giants will meet there downfall

Put a tin of beans on the hob, when hot, add freshly sliced cheese until melted, been doing it for years, lovely with a bit of HP 👍👍

Branston's are the best baked beans imo regardless, the sauce is a tad bland in Heinz in comparison for me
I prefer branston over Heinz 👍🏻

What a total rip off..but a tip store any canned food upside down then the contents come out easier 👍
Definitely a rip off, good tip 👍🏻
Perfect on a baked potato but you could do it yourself massively overpriced I wouldn't buy them . Good video though
Thanks
Andy, seems someone ate a quarter of the beans. 😂
Them beans should go over some Doritos, will make for some good Nachos.
They never fill the cans shrinkflation 😂😂👍🏻
