I believe that it was confirmed that the crucible maps on sunset planets are simulations in the immolant lore book.
Yeah they are simulations now, if you go to the lighthouse it also says “lighthouse simulation”
“Those weapons are earned through blood sweat and tears.”- lord shaxx
The other purpose is to have combat-ready Guardians at key sites in case of any attempted attacks. Given how crippling the assault on Twilight Gap was, it would make sense that a repeat offensive with different strategies could happen, or maybe there could be an attempt to steal The Anomaly. It's going to be pretty hard for the attacking forces to make any sort of moves when there are 6-12 fully geared Guardians already in the "KILL KILL KILL" mentality ready to go, who now have their sights set on you. And they're going to be pissed you interrupted their match.
the crucible is a hate-hate relationship, if you like it even a tiny bit you're mentally ill. Or you just never had your melee hits vanish into thin air while your opponent's hit you.
Thats how I feel as a warlock, at least the melee part. I love the intensity of Crucible and the enjoyable feeling of being abled to play aggressive in a game rather than camp camp camp of modern shooters, but I hate the toxicity of the community, those willing to use cheat tools, hacks, or macros, and the laziness of Bungie because working is to hard in their own words. Meanwhile, small indie dev teams or singular devs are capable of balance patches and bug fixes on a monthly basis.
But want a fun time with melee on Warlock? Pick up a Glaive put on Astrocyte Verse and Blink into peoples faces, its pretty fun and consistent rogue gameplay rather than everyone slapping each other with the CF and its hitscan pellets.
The crucible is a love hate relationship but it hasn’t been confirmed I’m pretty sure
One of my favorite lore bits in the universe is that the Cabal watch it as a spectator sport
As a warlock main who has only ever interacted with Crucible for the Witherhoard catalyst, I like to imagine my warlock as a bit of a snob who looks down on guardians who needlessly fight each other. Don’t have anything against actual pvp mains though, y’all keep doing your thing.
I was gonna say I thought crucible was just simulations to begin with… since you can use weapons of sorrow and stuff
Confirmed in the grimore
The scouse accent makes this so much better😂
Iron sharpens Iron.
Brother sharpens Brother
With all the updates and stuff i been loving pvp
Isn’t it also broadcasted as a type of tv show to the last city
I hate pvp in most games and find crucible annoying yet LOVE IRON BANNER
What's that page/website that shows your stats
might be the destiny companion app
Destiny tracker and trials report
That one specifically is called time wasted on destiny
I think the game purpose for crucible is to show off your loot. If PvP didn’t exist I don’t think I would be grinding in pve . I just need a good roll gun then I could just wait for a vendor video to tell me what to grind or buy. But with pvp , what ever I earn I can use against other guardians and when they see what killed them they gonna want it or figure out how I got it .
I wouldn't say it's THAT big of a part
I love shaxx, but boy do I hate the crucible
But pvp players usually suck at pve
