How To Re-Entry Wakeboarding

- This surf and skate style trick is a rider favorite because it has such a fun flow and feel to it. So many wakeboarders see this and think it's out of their reach or is too much of a mystery of how it really works. But when you combine the Ollie, which I address in another video on How to Ollie, with surfing the wake, the Re-Entry Air is super fun and fairly low risk. It's another trick you can add to what I call "Filling in the blanks" which means don't have to just jump the wake and then taxi back across the wakes to then repeat the process of just jumping the wakes. Take you time, start slow and small, and then once you get the timing, maybe even add a little double up and take the Re-Entry Air to the next level! Questions or comments? Put em below! 👉🏽

You are a legend. Thanks for the fun content.
Thanks for stoppin by 👊🏼
I like the little trick videos. Your one wake backflip when you land behind the boat would be cool.
Actually did that one already and believe this is the one you're talking about. Check it out! czcams.com/video/M0b50Iq8YyM/video.htmlsi=xcaC6qXu2QEI7Drk
Just got served this tutorial, (ive not wakeboarded behind a boat in over a decade) - but love your teaching/tutorial style, top work!
Thanks Tom 👊🏼
Thanks Shaun!
👊🏼
Fun one Shaun 🤩👌🤟
Thanks V 👊🏼
Seeing that sized wake is just insane to me. We have a 1990 ski boat and I can’t even comprehend what a jump off that thing would feel like.
1990 ski boat still has tons of fun to be had in it! But yeah, them wakes are big. And that's w zero ballast
Let’s go!
Kenny The First!
I’ve been messing around with these for the last couple of sets. It’s so fun to go back to these basic things and expand your portfolio. Ive found it can really help to take your riding to a new level too. Definitely helps me figure out new things about line tension, air control etc.
Love it Uni 👊🏼
Hey Shaun, any chance you could do a tutorial on how to do a progressive cut in a wrapped position?
What wrapped trick(s) are you thinking about?
@Shaun.Murray I'm interested in HS and TS BS3s, but really just confused about how to get good pop in the wrapped position. Like do you sit on the line or is it all pressure in the front hand? What kind of cut it is? Normal progressive or something else. That kind of stuff.
waiting for the new pro model video release!! lol
Hang tight Nick 👊🏼
impressionante como você faz parecer tão facil rsrs

These edits could be part of a new and improved instruction tutorials videos titled: “ suspension 2023” ?
Now there's some throwback knowledge. Who else get's that?
For sure! Time to dust off the gold helmet and ripped jean shorts
Shaun, thank you so much! Your videos are clear and very informative. I have a 2008 Super Air 230. I love it but the wake doesn't seem to react well to slowing down much so I usually ride around 22.5. I know you had a 230 for a while. Do you have any advice on how to slow it down and still get a good wake?
Are you running any weight when you're slowing down?
@@Shaun.Murray we have overflow tanks but we just run it with stock ballast. Should I run it with no ballast?
@@joshuaboyle7585 I'd for sure start empty ballast and see how fast you need to go to get clean wakes, then adjust rope to around that area.
@@Shaun.Murray Will do! THANK YOU!
I weigh 205 I recently have a 139 ronix but I want to buy your board. What size should I buy? I can throw a tantrum and roll so I'm not total newb. Love your videos
Good question. I'm 145 lbs and ride my 139, sometimes my 144. Cole is about the same height and weight as me and he rode the 144. Not sure about your height but at 205 I'd say at least the 144. Too often people think the size of the board will hold them back bc it's too much to move around but sizing up gives your more board to stand on which generally gives you more surface to get popped into the air off the wake and more stable landings.
lot of air an lil effort!🔥 i ride behind a 2000 air nautique an going wake to wake i have to work really hard. feels like im missing something here. any suggestions?
Your hardest cut should be close to the wake. Shaun Murray made a video called "power zone" I believe. I really recommend that.
@@collin9085 👊🏼
pretty cool how do you get that much air i've been trying all summer but I cant get anywhere near as far any advice
Learn the ollie decently yet?
yeah I just cant get across both wakes@@Shaun.Murray
my name is caleb
Which bbtalkin headset is being used in this video, not seeing it on their site.
The setup I usually use is 👉🏽 www.bbtalkinusa.com/product/shaun-murray-coaching-package/
But for the video I just take the boom mic off my hat and stick it in my vest with the mic pointing upwards to catch the audio
We somehow got our 10 year old boy to finally try wakeboarding in early summer. He’s now addicted to it! Thanks for all the tutorial videos. I had him watch a couple of your videos and now he does the leaning way way back like you do when cutting healside outside the wake. It’s mind-boggling how fast he has progressed as tries to mimic some of your low-risk high-reward tricks. Your olie video was also timely.
I always try to be the first one to comment, but there are always 10 before me.
They so fast 💨
