This is another useful comparison, great video! I think a headlight with 2 SST40S and an SFT40 in the center would be pretty awesome. Those look like some nice pocket lights for a good price. I like all the colors too. I wish more lights came in colors instead of just black.

Just ordered my s21e sft40 couple days ago. Convoy are selling some TIR lens for it as well. It does worth to check out them tir lens - 10 degree beads and 25 degree beads are very interesting as they increase the spill and you still get a decent amount of throw.
Good video and comparison. like both tint. i have built many flashlight with SFT 40. one host Convoy L21b a put SFT 40 with 8 ampere driver. its throws fantasic good light up a water tower a distans of 600 meter🙂. I measure a throw of 1296 meter. (in the end of the beam its moonlight)
I have 2 or the orange on the way. Dedome that 519a and it will give you about 30% more throw. Still nowhere near the sft40, but I found it makes a more useful beam when dedomed. Exited to see the 719a in some lights for that very reason

Great video! I just bought a S21E with the SFT40. Is it just me or is the stepped modes kinda weird? Is the 4th step turbo (instead of high)? Because when I put it on the 4th step and double click for turbo, it actually steps down a little bit. If anyone knows, please let me know.
not bad the sst40, more spill can u test the new sp35t with xhp50.2 , is it fixed to buck driver or still the suck fet driver. and can u mount/wear c8l on headband such as nitecore hb02 type just slot into the multiple adjustable loops, reason is for it huge range and great spill, need those functions to do thing at night

Too bad 519A is not very good when used in single LED setup unless dedomed. It still lacks power compared to SFT40 and SST40. Where it really shines though is when you do a triple or quad to push the lumens up. Your S21D is a good example of that. Set it to mode group 5 and you get a sustainable medium mode that should be around 500 lumens.

I don't have the sp35T w/50.2, and I think the C8L is a little to big for a headlamp.
I can't decide between the black or the green.
Black might be easier to spot if you drop it in the woods

My s21d has a bad emitter 1 was out on arrival but I did measure it with 3 emitters and got over 2700lm.
