It may not have been a “genuine” Japanese tanto but it was a blade needing restoration non the less. Took something ugly and turned it into something beautiful. Good work. 👍👍
This video is fake ,,, contrived ,,, play acted ,,, if that was really Rust ,, that blade would have been badly pitted ,,, and Brass doesn't go rusty ,,, it just develops mould ,, so all he did was clean off whatever he stuck on there in the 1st place

The tang is going to break, he ruined the tempering when removing the brass fittings earlier in the video with the torch.
I highly doubt he intends to use it for anything other than display so it doesn’t really matter

That's a restore to a original condition? Or a recondition of the Tanto? If the intent is restore to exposition only, no need to test It.
