Is no one going to mention how hard this probably was for Amy? She doesn't usually do this register or anything at all. Her and Lzzy have SUCH different voices and her doing this SO well is AMAZING
Violet Thorne exactly, I love both versions, but as much as I love Amy, lzzy just touches my emotions deeper with this song
The original version has so much power and Amy is more like the gentle soul. I think Amy Lee could do a more quiet, sentimental version.
And remember Lindsey mentioned before that she wanted Amy to sing this song originally. I love the 3 of them: Amy, Lzzy & Lindsey. Such a delight listening them together.
ArcXero Yes, I feel someone like James Hetfield would be much closer to the original Lzzy Hale version, but Metallica isn't touring with Lindsey this year.
In fact, that song on Amy's voice sounded even better to me. Her voice is something heavenly, unique... I LOVED IT!

I haven't heard the original version of the song, but Amy's voice sounds perfect with this. I hope one day they make a studio version.
You need to watch the original. Lzzy is utterly amazing and it shows how hard Amy had to work for this - they are different vocalists, and Amy did a bloody good job to bring her touch to this.

Amy's version of this is so amazing, because it's *her* singing it. And by that I mean she took the song with Lindsey's instrumentals, but sang it in her style. If anybody else sang it the way that Amy did, anyone who has heard Evanescence would right away go, "Oh, you're doing an impression of Amy Lee".

This is actually a lot better than i expected. To me though, it’s missing Lzzy’s grit and screams. But as I’ve seen, Lzzy and Amy have two different vocal styles and you can’t compare either of them with each other. It’s not fair. Amy can do falsetto while Lzzy can do loud, screamed belts
I agree that Lzzy is better at screaming but Amy didn't use falsetto really at all in this performance. The only time she did was at 0:43, but the rest is belted.
Amy belts like a mo'fo hehehe, both are amazing tho. I agree that they aren't comparable, bc each one of them make the song perfect justice with their powerhouse goddess vocals
Being such a huge fan of the version with Lzzy this left me wanting...more. I just personally like the song more in a rocker style. That doesn't mean Amy is any less of a goddess her voice is magical.
Though Amy's dramatic style of singing doesn't really match the feel of this song the way it is currently arranged, I would love to hear a slightly retooled studio version with Amy singing. This was, for the most part, great

Went to the show on the 11th at Jones Beach: Amy’s mic wasn’t on when the song started, her voice boomed out on the first elongated “me” and sent chills through everybody’s spines. I feel like the 11th performance was better cause even with the mic malfunction, Amy and Lindsey interacted more, playing and singing side by side and were so intense in energy. I cried ...seriously. I CRIED watching them together like that. It was pure magic. It was magnificent. I’ll never forget it.

Just saw them in Houston tonight. They put on more of a show than in this video. I cried during this song. Didn't really listen to the words but their combined talent just exploded from that stage in a way I haven't seen before.
So I've always been in awe of Lindsey playing violin while dancing around but I'm just going to take a moment to appreciate that she's doing all that, IN BALLET FLATS.
