My mom recently sleep-texted me a recipe for Japanese fried chicken while she was at a chemotherapy appointment. I thought it looked delicious from the pictures, so I texted her asking if she would make it. She had no recollection of ever sending it to me, but we tried it anyways and absolutely loved it.
That is not the ending I expected. But it is a wholesome one. I hope the chemo works. Similar kept my mum going, without suffering or side-effects, for many years. I hope for full remission for your mum.💜

I'm a sleep texter. My old phone , which I had for 3 years, had a thumbprint recondition for unlocking. I had to start signing out of my social medias because it got so bad. I would text mostly coherently. I have night terrors, and sometimes it was related to these - which scared the crap out of my friends. My dad witnessed me sleep texting once, he came in to wake me up and when I did actually wake up about an hour later, he had taken my phone and it was charging in the kitchen. Turns out I was texting HIM about the TRANSFORMERS LORE?
After watching these videos and hearing Matt Rose speak fluent gibberish, I am convinced he can take a word search puzzle and make coherent words out of it line for line.
I think that it exists in two forms: 1. Falling asleep while your phone's open and accidentally using the keyboard or 2. Being mostly asleep but awake enough to do stuff and wanting to inform someone about something that happened in a dream or is on your mind, I've done this one a few times to my partner lol
Few times I picked up my phone to type something in notes app or to text it to someone while half asleep. Then went to sleep again with phone in hand dreaming that I finished doing it. My brain isn't evolved to go through the several steps involved I suppose. 😂😂
I guess there's a few ways it can happen. Being half awake, poking random things on the screen in your sleep, voice recognition, falling asleep while writing...

I started a journal of funny things my husband says when he takes ambien. My two favorites are “Wait, are you my wife?” and “I declare this day, September 28, a holy day of hilarity.”
Oh god, Ambien. My mama took Ambien for years. One time she knocked on my door at like 4am and opened the door to see me sitting in my room with the lights on, sitting up in a chair, reading a book. I put my book down and said "Hey, you okay? You need anything?" after which she squinted at me for a very long time with a very confused look on her face and whispered "are you awake???" the way you do when you dont want to speak too loudly in case the person really is asleep. I looked at her and sarcastically said "Oh yeah, I just have really gotten into reading books in my sleep lately. You know how it is." And she 100% seriously said "Okay sorry I love you I'll let you sleep" and left. I cried laughing at that.
There's also Muscimol which is found in the Amanita Muscaria mushroom, which is basically the precursor to Ambien. It even works on the same receptors in the brain. That one had me thinking that mirrors had time limits and that the moon was the eye of James May.

I started a journal of funny things my husband says when he takes ambien. My two favorites are “Wait, are you my wife?” and “I declare this day, September 28, a holy day of hilarity.”
Oh god, Ambien. My mama took Ambien for years. One time she knocked on my door at like 4am and opened the door to see me sitting in my room with the lights on, sitting up in a chair, reading a book. I put my book down and said "Hey, you okay? You need anything?" after which she squinted at me for a very long time with a very confused look on her face and whispered "are you awake???" the way you do when you dont want to speak too loudly in case the person really is asleep. I looked at her and sarcastically said "Oh yeah, I just have really gotten into reading books in my sleep lately. You know how it is." And she 100% seriously said "Okay sorry I love you I'll let you sleep" and left. I cried laughing at that.
There's also Muscimol which is found in the Amanita Muscaria mushroom, which is basically the precursor to Ambien. It even works on the same receptors in the brain. That one had me thinking that mirrors had time limits and that the moon was the eye of James May.
