  • Geet Govind: Priye Charusheele
Gita Govinda is one of the most celebrated lyrical Sanskrit poetry from India, composed by the 12th-century Indian poet, Jayadeva. It describes the divine and sacred love of Krishna for Radha, the milkmaid, his faithlessness and subsequent return to her. It is considered that Radha is greater than Krishna.
In this beautiful poem Lord Krishna expresses what she means to him and pleading to win back his beloved Radha. Radha who is suffering the separation refused to see Krishna. However, Krishna finally meets Radha and pleads with her to forgive him. “Hand me any punishment, say anything, do anything, but please don’t be angry at me anymore, I’m being tormented by love!”. Radha although angry with Krishna gets puzzled and confused seeing Krishna suddenly appearing in front of her
