Brown eyes have so much melanin in them that they protect you from the sun and keeps your eyes healthier. People with lighter colors sometimes have sensitivity issues and vision problems. Melanin is a gift from God.

I lived in Norway for a couple of years, my husband is Norwegian and he has brown eyes, as a lot of Norwegians do due to the their historical diet of fish and seafood, rich in vitamin D, causing the need to soak up less sunlight, require less melanin, which makes their hair and eyes darker.

Lyn Berger um, no....he could just go to his doctor or any ER. You don’t have to go back to the doctor that did your surgery to be treated for any issues. Several of my surgeries were 500 miles away, and my stitch removal and aftercare was done at my regular GP 2 miles away (I did go back for a 6mo checkup with the surgeon, but that was it).

Alex Zeus: my same thoughts. The procedure created the symptoms. Or maybe he didn't take care of them like he was supposed to. The fact that he ignored the symptoms for so long is the reason why he went blind on that eye. Quite ironic that the Doctor that warned him not to do it, ended up being the one rescuing his one good eye.
Alex Zeus if he didn’t ignore the symptom he supposed to go to the clinic and remove the lens earlier to prevent further friction and damage to preserve his vision, there no kind of care to prevent interior eyes damage other than that.

I realise that blue is arguably a prettier colour than brown on paper, but beautiful eyes depend on shape, lashes, expression, etc. Omg...I would never give up my natural colour permanently.

Because in blue eyes, the pupils appear small because they are, but the difference is that you can clearly see them with a blue background. Smaller pupils look rather piercing.
In brown eyes, you can't really see the pupils clearly so you associate the whole Iris as the pupil.

I have to put the blame the doctor who did the surgery on him, like he was in your care and you broke your hippocratic oath and damaged his eyes, there is a reason this surgery is banned in America and many European countries.

Sadly, people with body dysmorphia often go crazy and spend millions on cosmetic procedures and completely ruin themselves. However, when I was 14, someone, a complete stranger, told me "Ohhh, I love your contact lenses" when I wasn't even wearing one. He keeps saying he was young and naive but I think he was young, arrogant and hard-headed. He was warned what could happen but his arrogance and narcissism got in his way. I think his voice change is either from being intubated for surgery or some medications, i.e. steroids for inflammation, can cause a raspy voice.

I think he wanted the change so badly that he just didn't want to believe the consequences would happen to him. He didn't want to know, he just wanted to feel okay with himself. And after all was said and done, he lost part of his eyesight and got his eyes back to the brown that he wanted to change in the first place.

What's wrong with just getting colored contacts? They're safe if you follow what your optometrists tells you & if you keep them sanitary. You may not be able to sleep in them, but it's better than some risky surgery. Or even more than this - just learn to love your own, real color.
pinkfreud62 colored contacts are dangerous as well sadly a woman had it attatch to her eye and ripped off a part of it along with it as well. 😔

I have remitting relapsing Multiple Sclerosis, and a symptom of my MS was optic neuritis. So, I went blind in my left eye for a whole six weeks. It was the worst thing ever. I’m so glad my eye sight is back to normal now 🙏🏾 don’t take sight for granted!!!
