- Shortly before dawn on August 21, 1992, six heavily armed U.S. marshals made their way up to the isolated mountaintop home of Randy and Vicki Weaver and their children on Ruby Ridge in Northern Idaho. Charged with selling two illegal sawed-off shotguns to an undercover agent, Weaver had failed to appear in court and law enforcement was tasked with bringing him in. The standoff that mesmerized the nation would leave Weaver injured, his wife and son dead, and some convinced that the federal government was out of control.

A totally biased report -- Randy Weaver himself says they only attended ONE Aryan Nation meeting, didn't like their tenor or philosophy, and didn't go back. This is mischaracterization and untruth.

@@carlitoswayp.r.1920 I don’t think you get my comment. What happened to this family was horrible and it shouldn’t have happened. I just often see a hypocrites who like to to support cops and the justice system no matter what happens. But then they are quick to turn around and also demand justice if it was a family they liked, or could relate to. Now I’m saying this to bash law enforcement, my husband is a cop but he too has been begging for police reform for extremely long time. He is all for cop always wearing body camera on at all times. Because it protects them from any false accusations being thrown, also unfortunately there are bad apple out there that have no business in any form of law enforcement. They are the ones that make all cops look bad. I myself studied criminology for years and hav e seen cops be falsely accused or horrible come who cross way over the line. There should be more screening and testing and there should be a psychological exam and provide assistant e at all time if some one pass. My husband and are just blown away how many more were able to become cops. I worry about my husband and also innocent civilians who do happen to have a horrible encounter with a cop does need to be exposed. Some will seriously develop a god complex when gets a gun and a unformed.
FYI, he got a letter from the courts that he was supposed to come on a different date than what he was scheduled to go. He wasn't evading arrest...

Exactly. This video is trying to portray Mr. Weaver as a major criminal that for what he deserved. Even if he did refuse to go to court. That isn’t a reason to send snipers and a platoon of agents with kill on sight orders. Which is what happened.

@@jbrown1971 Totally right. I have learned more since them. I will delete that. After that, correct me if I am wrong, an F.B.I agent then asked him to be an informant and he declined. Then the A.T.F. decided to go ahead and file the gun charges against him because he didn't want to be any part of that. And the A.T.F. ask him to file those barrels just SLIGHTLY shorter than legal. Randy was on a team with a friend of mine. I met him twice and briefly talked to him about RR.
When people say "It can't happen here!" Like Nazi Germany, USSR, China, etc. this is one of the episodes I point out, that yes it can.

Why does this "documentary" lie about Weaver refusing to go to court?
They told Randy Weaver the wrong court date on his paperwork so he missed court because of THEIR paperwork error.
Zachary Moses they wanted to paint a “ reason” for the assault to happen and make them look bad. Probably to try and paint them as monsters so people wouldn’t care if they died. No public outcry
Slowly erode away the truth so eventually there is nothing left but lies. If they were to break down every aspect of it at once they would be challenged, change it slowly and people hardly notice it happens at all.
They told him to come to court on a Saturday! Court wasn't even open! Come Monday they descended into his property for "evading court" that he couldn't have attended.

I’m here because I just found out Randy Weaver died recently. May his family have peace and may he have peace for what this government did to him so sad for his wife, child and dog. Diversity is not tolerated only the narrative is tolerated and they push the narrative as if it equals diversity when it actually equals the lack of any diversity.
I'm so sorry about what happened to this beautiful family.

We live under a regime that believes no one has the right to live off the land with minimal to no responsibility to the government. In other words the government claims "pay us our pound of flesh" which is in direct conflict with one simple word... Freedom. Conquering and surrounding land then forcing tribute is in no way any excersize in freedom, but rather, just the opposite. The only way tribute payment is validated is when the parties wanting protection for themselves by a government is agreed upon by those willing to pay tribute for protection occurs. The Ruby Ridge people did not want tribute for protection. It was their choice to not desire outside protector over freedom. From what I Know of this it is the true understanding. It was trynany by force that began the pound of flesh ideals without caring what people seeking full freedom wanted. I do believe in accepting government assistance is what most people want, but that does not allow forcing those who do not want that to have their freedom infringed upon.
Well I don't know all the details of the case but it is difficult to imagine that they truly were living in a pocket world and not using government provided benefits, such as roads and a national military, to name a few, to ensure that their lands are safe from foreign armies. I realize that many would believe that they (and their families) are kept safe purely due to their own resourcefulness, but the reality is that you, and whatever private militia you may belong to, are simply no match for a military conquering force. Never forget that it is your nation that keeps you safe and allows you your lifestyle. In conclusion I simply don't think its fair to enjoy theses huge govt benefits yet don't have to pay your fair share.

@Shawn Clifton @shawn. Not to take anything away from the American Revolutionaries and what they accomplished, the simple reality was that they simply could not have won independence without French military support. George Washington and Benjamin Franklin knew this all too well.
TheLegendaryBlackBeastOfArgh so what makes you think we wouldn’t have the support of the military and police? Sure there would be a lot that wouldn’t be on our side but the majority would. The ONLY reason for our government is to protect our country. That is it. It didn’t used to be called the federal government. It was the central government. But sadly we have allowed the government to grow so large the only way to stop it is to revolt against it. We are living through tyranny right now. We are still the greatest country on earth but all great powers have fallen. We aren’t immune. And it is coming. Faster than people think.

What was the reasoning that started the ruby ridge conflict? What and why was randy weaver wanted to start with? It is difficult to fathom that Randy Weaver would have wanted to begin any conflict. But, a police officer desiring to impose his will and control certainly makes sense, as it is a prevailing mindset taught to police officers even unto today's standard. This is an unfortunate instruction tactic, although slightly somewhat understandable, buy it disregards humans rights concerning freedom.
