I went to Kashmir recently.. Visited Srinagar, Pulwama, Pahalgam etc. Such a beautiful place and so sweet, simple and helpful people. But irresponsible tourism and apathetic administration has ruined the beauty of the place. Tourists had thrown plastic waste, bottles etc even in the remotest mountain slopes and water bodies. Power cuts and rampant unemployment are other two problems that we observed there. It's a sad state of affairs.. Hopefully they are granted statehood soon.

Then why did it happen after 2014? Before that there is not much of an unemployment issue. Reality is that the govt totally failed to give the jobs as other parts of India. Example Ladakh is very loyal to India Why did the government fails to provide employment there?

Congrats Arfa for agenda reporting when to deliberately show highest percentages voting due to calm in Kashmir in over three decade ,she only mentioned 2019 and not mentioned 2014, 2009,1996,2001,2006 where voting didn't cross 12%. It's Modi government policy that people able to cast their votes.

Kashmir is not as happy as mainstream media shows. Similarly Kashmir is not as sad as the wire is showing.
I have many kashmiri friends. What I’ve observed is that they all agree that bjp has transformed the security situation in j&k and made it quite normal but people feel violated bcz of inherent feeling of separation since 70+ yrs. It’ll take time but Kashmir is going in the right direction. For 70+ yrs, political parties couldn’t do anything good for kashmir. Bjp is genuinely trying. Whatever happening in kashmir is in best interests of Kashmiris.🍁
Look, I too agree with the fact that not everything is entirely black and white but in the grey area, although I hope the upcoming govt gives then their state status back so that they can have at least a bit of trisy.
