- Every 3D Printer needs a perfectly leveled bed. Either you can level it manually, or... you can automate the process using a bed level probe! In this video I look at the 3DTouch v3 probe by Geeetech. We over how automatic bed leveling works, and showcase the 3DTouch probe.

Look forward to your video on installing and calibrating the probe as the other videos out there are downright confusing.
I appreciate the quick references on how to see how bed leveling works. It's informative to a point as it is confusing to setup as is the video from Geeetech
i just found this after buying the same geeetech leveller. WOW! thank you, i cant wait to set it up :)
Great video as always 👍
Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us 👍😀
what happened to the follow up video?
what an efficient video about the concept of auto bed leveling and of course 3d touch, it could be comprehensive if u mention z offset topic thanks to 3d touch
Loved the vido, quick question if i may, I have a Voxelab Aquila and not sure if I would be able to use something like this as having real issues leveling my bed
Nice AD video...
mine came bent for some reason. I'm hoping the new one they send will do a better job. Right now the level is random when I print. If you have this, always keep a few extra pins on hand. There is a video of a guy that broke his off when it hit a clip.
What is the window of tolerance of this probe? I have always used the BL Touch on my printers but I am buying another 3 machines and silent boards so if I can save some money on the probes it can be spent on something else.
This video was a let down i was looking for setup and how to but this video was how much you liked the the probe. I was looking for wireing and more info including setting up marlin code and or wireing info. this video had none
Software setting please
Mind linking the firmware you used?
with this can you remove the z axis limit switch or does it still need to be there
Yeah, you can remove it. The probe is now the z axis endstop
is there an install guide for TH3D firmware and install of this 3D Touch on Ender3?
I've already mounted the thing, but the only thing that happens is the start up test, and when I try an auto level it raises my Z axis and the probe does not do anything..
It's so odd..
Found a solution ?
@@vestercasper Yes, I moved the probe to another pinout pin29, and I then did a clean Marlin firmware install and went through all the steps again which did the trick.
The guides I've found have all used the buzzer pinout, and I could not get that to work as it should. But this way I kept my buzzer intact, so I can use that for warnings and such.
Hello, is this the original heatbed? Looks thicker than mine.
No, this is with a Wham Bam magnetic print bed added onto it. You can find more information on a previous video: czcams.com/video/WiboVzJK2y4/video.html
I get this video, great! BUT every time my A20 printer begins a print, it only goes to the center and measures the level there.
If I have done the bed leveling before it seems it does not care about that.
Every sngle time the same thing, at each print, even when the bed level has been performed the probe goes to the center of the bed and measures there, then it begins to print. Why?
Because I can see it with my eye it is not the same level and it does not take the bed level different measures in account when printing.
It is not big difference, about 0.2mm but still I can see it and sometimes it seems it is too tight and sometimes too far away.
Why does the probe only measure the center when I start a print?
So please do not reply by saying I have to do the bed level procedure, IT IS DONE, still it re measures the center position and seems to be happy with that and does nothing to compensate for the earlier 9 point measurements.
Do you have G29 after G28 in your start G-Code?
I have so much trouble bed leveling
Its basicly same price as bl touch after shipping
Maybe bl touches were cheaper back than, but it’s only around $20 for me even after tax and shipping.
Got mine for 1$ as an Ali express welcome gift let’s hope it’s actually 3d touch
This is just an add for a knockoff
