@@ainoaguy My pleasure. I've struggled with self confidence and the anxiety it caused, most of my life. I spent so much time worrying what people would think of me that I gave up a LOT of experiences. I'm now 45 and a few years back I realized that there are only a VERY few people who's opinion of me actually matters and those people are myself, my husband, my daughters,my parents and the 2 best friends that I literally met in preschool. It was the most liberating moment of my life when I realized that if those folks supported me then I was truly free. Now I embarrass my daughters regularly when start dancing in a store or singing to them in the car with the windows down lol.
Please, get out there and do what makes you happy. I've fallen more times than I can count and no one has EVER laughed. Actually, I have had SO many kind people who would stop and help me up or show me how to prevent falling again.

This is gold! I don't have many suitable places close by to skate and the weather is not the best every day, so I've been practicing in my kitchen where I can do two small strides at best (and I've got tiles too).
But I'm a beginner so I've practiced getting up, stopping (plow and toe stop), some bubbles, picking up foot, picking up front wheels, and just getting comfortable with wheels on my feet. I get scared easily so having the counter there to "catch me" is helping, I don't even need to be holding it in most cases, but the mental "support" is doing wonders. Now you've added several more things I can try on days where I work long or the weather sucks. I think I'm gonna learn transitions next.
    Thank you!

Man, this seems like a situation where you might need your helmet. Lots of things to hit your head on if you fall.
Also, my downstairs neighbor would love this! Lol
Luckily I also live in sunny southern Cali and can skate outdoors almost any day.

Thank you so much, defiantly going to practise these moves!! Wondering, what kind of wheels would be best for practising indoors? I live in a place where it’s 4 seasons, so need some better wheels for practising. The ones that came with my Moxi beach bunnies seem to stick a lot. They’re 78a. Any advice?

I really want to learn to skate and I trust your opinion on the best skates to buy.... I know I'm older in years but I was paralyzed for a while and my faith kept me going. I'm learning how to moonwalk and Shuffle Etc. I have a 8 by 30 porch. It's kind of rough concrete but I was thinking about putting roll out vinyl so I could skate practicing. We have a skatepark in town but I haven't even thought of it as being for roller skates. I've been watching videos and I'm Amazed! Also I bought some ballet shoes and professional jazz shoes. I had to buy a size bigger. Do you need a bigger size and skates also? You probably don't read all your comments if someone that follows you could answer I really really would appreciate it.
