The judges on this show have a shared IQ of an earthworm. For me, Alice evokes haunting visions of 1950’s New York (er… yes, I’m that old). I absolutely love Alice (💕) and wish her all power and success for the future. I cannot listen to Funny Valentine without crying. Alice - you are enchanting!

You, judges really made a huge mistake. You did not give Alice the respect you should have given her. You really did not get Alice at all. Alice sings from her heart and her voice goes beyond any instrument in a jazz band. She sings from her soul. She is the soul of the band. She's got that voice that I keep on going back to because she is a legend and that, you cannot buy or find it in a crackerjack box.
I have to agree with you. That sexy tone can't be copied. It's the true instrument and the fact she looks great is the cherry on top. Very disappointed with the judges

This judge who criticized her "Jazz" performance sounds like an amateur musician who hasn't discovered jazz yet. Take it from an old pro saxophonist, Alice did a great job on Tramp. Where do these "amateur judges" get their uneducated idiocy?
I agree with the other comments. Alice has a tone that separates her from most entertainers. She has the looks and the voice that creates outstanding recording artists
This crushes her. Everyone was saying that she was faking her nerves on BGT are dead wrong. She is already a very shy and fragile person. So conjuring up the confidence to go on BGT probably took everything she had after what happened here. She is a true pure soul and deserves all the happiness in the world. If more people were like her, this world would be a much better place.

Just discovered Alice recently and have watched Funny Valentine over a dozen times and cry every time. I am a professional classical musician and love her voice and style, there is very little I would change if anything. I'm just puzzled why she has not become a big superstar?

Of all the judges on there I blame Tom Jones who has all the talent in the world and is supposed to recognize talent. I think he was embarrassed that he failed to turn around. Shame on you guys! I love to watch them stumble for words when they make a mistake.

Judge? What do they know?! I listened to the entire album of Alice's! Listen to it! Buy it! I would listen to it at home anytime, when I have company, when I'm relaxing, putting on makeup or cooking. Best thing I've heard that I care to listen to all the time in a long time.

The judges loved her, in the beginning of the song, then suddenly all 4 judges faces change expressions & lose concentration, then no one turns around!?? That's B.S.!!!

It's 2022, and I've recently just discovered Alice. I'm in the USA, so I would have never seen BGT over here. I am absolutely IN LOVE WITH HER VOICE! I think the excuses these judges give for not turning around is really lame. As for Wil I Am, he never flipping turns around. That guy needs to learn to take a chance. All these judges missed out big. Thank God for BGT for really recognizing real talent.

I was especially surprised when Sir Tom didn’t turn around. I think that they should put headsets on the judges so they can’t hear the audience or other judges and make it so the judges can’t see if any other judge has turned his/her chair. They should judge for themselves without audience or other judge input. Just my opinion.

Yea well a lot of it has to do with viewer audience, it seems to be a younger crowd that watches on TV and they go for bubblegum pop. It's those kids watching that are the deciding factor when they vote with their cute little phones lol. But hey it is what it is. It's not a problem of finding her instrument but finding her audience. They found her.

All those judges act like they're Gods who are superior but in reality that's just what THEY THINK! Alice sang FANTASTIC (as usual)! The judges were all snobby to her! I think Alice has more talent than all of them put together and she is BETTER than THEY are! The judges are too arrogant for the talent they have. I don't know who the hell they think they are! You go girl!

I would play piano for her any day - what an amazing beautiful, and I mean beautiful talent.

wow a great talent shot down for this moment because of jealousy which was apparent in the BS comments to a fine talent from the no talent so-called judges.
I've been listening to Alice and finally made it to this audition.
I love her voice and stage presence when she performs.
I'm a bit saddened that the judges didn't turn around for her but I have to say that, for this type of audition, this wasn't a big enough attention grabber, ie the judges aren't seeing her perform.
This may have been a good and somewhat safe experience for her towards how she is going to progress.
After seeing her perform on BGT and listening to her studio recordings, it's obvious she has a beautiful voice and style.
I hope she can work things out for herself doing what she likes --- and I hope THAT means some great music for everyone else but I'm praying for the best for you Alice.

@@chynadole1991 Far more annoying than their choice not to turn around was the reasons given for not doing so. Alice sang beautifully here, but nowhere near as compelling as her cover of 'My Funny Valentine' and some of the other dozen songs she released before her debut album, along with a few on her album. The idiotic and harsh comments here likely contributed to her quitting after the release of her debut album.
One of the few contestants on these talent shows I would pay to see ...this woman is amazing...she should have gotten the golden buzzer...

I for one was into Terry McDermott when he was on The Voice, I also like the girl who won........she is far better now than then but Terry was always himself and not somebody else. I was just one of many who actually saw that in him. I wish him well.
