@@gonzalez_martin The CVR was not erased. In fact, the CVR at the time only recorded the last 30 minutes of the flight. From when the pilots recovered from the dive to when they landed the plane was 45 minutes so the recording would have begun 15 minutes AFTER they recovered from the dive. The G-forces of extending the gear and also pulling out of the dive likely caused 21 minutes of the recording to be blank and despite the NTSB stating that they analyzed the CVR and found no fault with the recorder, they actually didn’t. There may have been a pre-existing problem with the recorder which caused several minutes of the recording to be blank even if there was no upset.
