Nice. I had a 2009 Civic for a few years. Bought it 2 years old from a main dealer but turned out to be the most problematic car I'd ever owned. Depsite only having covered 9,000 miles within a year it needed a new clutch, a new Power Steering controller & new shock absorbers. All these things were well documented problems at the time but I was deeply disappointed with my first ever Honda. Not had another since.
👍 usually bomb proof the Hondas too! I must admit we have seen a few clutch / dmf problems with them
Hi , thanks you, I have bought 9 months a go a Honda CR V 2005 2.2 CTDi Diesel RD 9. and Iove it. about 3 weeks a go the motor check turned on, the same time the right headlamp was dead. I had my car a mechanic and he diagnosierted with Diag set and it showed that the problem is glow plug, right then the motor check turned off and after three weeks newer turned on. I do not know it still needs to be replaced? However I think the motor shakes more, may be it is an emotional panic not a technical matter.
My next question is the kind of OIL Motor it needs, as I bought it I changed the oil and there is a big dealer of Oil in Germany WM offered me 5W-40 Liqui Moli but I think it should be 5W -30,,is that right? Thanks for answer.
can i ask do you know where and how to change the glow plugs on a honda frv 2006 diesel
What was the mileage when You bought the car?
Clutch and shockers are wear and tear things.Same like other cars. PS controller £145 new. That's it. Wow that's very problematic😂
Why did You no go back to the main dealer then
Was engine ok?
Of course coz it's a Honda💪
Hello, I have a honda civic gen8 2.2 CTDi. I just realised the glow plugs never been changed, got 153k on the clock, no missfires. Been taking really good care of the car since I bought it, general maintance done. Just passed MOT with no advisories, beside all the care, everytime I start the car and I am not moving, it smells like diesel inside (no leaks, already been checked by 3 diferent mechanics). Could this be a cause? Any ideias or sugestion? Thank You
Certainly EGR pipe is cracked.
I had the same issue on m'y Honda crv idtec 2.2. smell of smoke in habitacle
