I have a Volkswagen Polo 2012 Hatch, I recently reached out to ClickMechanic to diagnose, they advised that the boot lock needs replacing. I purchased one on eBay, plugged it in, but it still doesnt operate. Any thought, appreciate your help!

for anyone watching this in the rust belt, when all else fails and the hub is stuck, pulling the spindle off is relatively easy and only took me an hour, you can then lay the spindle on the ground propped up on blocks and thread the bolts halfway in, proceed to smash till its out

Fantastic video!! Super helpful and thorough explanation. I'm having some doubts over my replacement tensioner pulley (SKF). The issue is that the locking pin has fallen out before installation. Looks nice and easy on the ST. Absolute pain on the RS when working off stands, due to the rear driveshaft and domed knuckle assembly making it an incredibly tight and awkward area to work in. Even worse retorquing them, although they are pretty tight to remove!

I had this issue in my car. Message was some times disappearing automatically but mostly stayed ON. Got recently my SOS battery changed. It disappeared for day or two but now it is back. Since now the Battery is already replaced, any way to disable this message? My technician says go to BMW Center for system update but BMW Center wont do it until they install the battery themselves. I paid service money got new battery and got it installed but still stuck with fault (or atleast this annoying message on dash). Any support would be appreciated. BMW X1 2018/2019 model. Thanks!

If you can't pop the disc off by tapping with a hammer, the small (M8 IIRC) threaded hole on the disc can break a rust seal. A quick scrub with a wire brush should reveal the threads.
