I owned a 1968 Continental the first very same color combination! Loved the car owned in the 70's!

@RS-yu4lb No, it doesn't, actually! Yes, the seats give that impression but, there's more. Other components of the Town Car interior included napped nylon headlining, a Town Car interior exclusive (only the white version of the Town Car didn't use it; this one has the perforated vinyl and the interior's color was called Light Ivy Gold, even though it was 1 of 5 colors also available on the Town Car interior), deeper cut-pile carpeting (the only trace I even see of that in this car are just below the seat skirting of both bench seats whereas the Town Car option had it continuing on the floorboards as well; the carpeting on the floor of this doesn't look as plush), fake woodgrain accents on the front seatbacks, another Town Car interior exclusive (as seen on the seat in this one),the door trim panel inserts (above the armrests) have the horizontal strap-and-buckle pattern (yes, all Continental interiors, including the Town Car option, left the factory with those inserts in the same pattern as the upholstery, whatever the pattern, but, clearly, there's a difference with this car; the diamond pleating was not on the Town Car interior) and color-keyed padded vinyl trim on the instrument panel (as opposed to the fake woodgrain that was standard with all other interiors). The devil is in the details, as they say. Obviously, at some point, somebody got those seats out of another '69 Continental (likely one that really had the Town Car interior) and put them in this car (this one obviously had the diamond pleated upholstery when it was new, indicating it just had a standard interior option). I know appearances can be deceiving (and even are, sometimes) but, like I said, considering the aforementioned, the devil's in the details! There's even factory literature backing up how I described the Town Car interior (if anything, it's one of my favorite options on the '69 Lincoln Continental so, sorry if you might feel bummed about this info but, I thought I should point that out).

Great but hated seeing Mercury Monterey hub caps on a great old real Lincoln.
