🇬🇧 Situated beside the Atlantic Ocean, A Coruña is a historic city whose history has maintained close links with its old fishing and commercial port.
The promenade, the longest in Europe with more than 13 kilometers, runs from the Castle of San Antón to the Portiño, enveloping the city.
The promenade has the purpose of bringing the people of A Coruña closer to the maritime coast and today it is the largest promenade in Europe, inaugurated in 1996 and still running, which has become both one of the main communication routes of the city and place of leisure and personal meeting.
It runs along the coastal façade of the city and from it you can access the urban beaches such as the group made up of the Orzán beach and the Riazor beach, separated by the "La Coraza" breakwater, remains of the old wall of the "Pescadería ", to the natural space around the Tower of Hercules, to the Casa de los Peces or to the Domus on the seafront of Orzán.

🇪🇸 Situada frente al Océano Atlántico, A Coruña es una ciudad cuya historia guarda un estrecho vínculo con su antiguo puerto pesquero y mercantil.
El Paseo Marítimo, el más largo de Europa con más de 13 kilómetros recorre desde el Castillo de San Antón hasta el Portiño, envolviendo la ciudad.
El paseo tiene la finalidad de acercar a los coruñeses al litoral marítimo y hoy es el mayor Paseo Marítimo de Europa, inaugurado en 1996 y todavía en marcha, que se ha convertido a la vez en una de las principales vías de comunicación de la ciudad y lugar de ocio y encuentro personal.
Recorre la fachada costera de la ciudad y desde él se puede acceder a las playas urbanas como el conjunto integrado por la playa del Orzán y la playa de Riazor, separadas por el rompeolas "La Coraza", restos de la antigua muralla de la "Pescadería", al espacio natural del entorno de la Torre de Hércules, a la Casa de los Peces o a la Domus en el frente marítimo de Orzán.

Hello! That is a really difficult question to answer 😄 They are two great cities that have many things in common, since they are two coastal cities located in beautiful maritime landscapes. Both have impressive urban beaches and beautiful promenades. They also have amazing architecture. A Coruña has more historical buildings, such as the Tower of Hercules, due to the fact that Santander suffered a great fire that destroyed its old town. On the other hand, Santander has a more stately architecture because it was a holiday destination for kings and the nobility at the beginning of the 20th century.
I can't give you a concrete answer because I like both cities, although I hope my explanation has been useful to you.
