I really wish sometimes that the emperor's children had stayed loyalist. I absolutely love their Phoenix guard unique Terminators
You can play them as loyalist. They actually have a whole loyalist side to them. Saul tarvits is a popular emperors children character that is strictly loyalist. Any legion can play as loyalist or traitor
@@DouchebagMcGee5987 I really meant for 40k, I feel if they had been loyalist, they'd definitely have their own line in 40k. And seeing those Terminator sculpts in battle would be awesome. Since I don't play heresy I can only imagine :/
@@christopherfreitas6510I think a lot of people wish this was the case. But that’s what makes them the most tragic of all the traitor legions, and one of the most grimdark. Also let’s be honest, a lot of them are right arseholes.

A great game! Always good to see the Emperor's Children out and about! Two small things:
1) Winter's, for the love of the Imperium USE THE MARU SKARA. You get to put Elite, Fast Attack and/or Troops choices in Outflank and pick the turn they show up on. Your Storm Eagle woes will be a thing of the past!
2) At 40:22 when the second Contemptor blows up, I think your 40k brain took over for a second. Although the dreadnought was destroyed by the Rampagers, because it was still Initiative Step 4 (i.e. when the dreadnought fights) you should have still got to have his attacks with his fist, then he blows up. Because everything at an initiative step happens simultaneously, unlike regular 40k, he doesn't blow up before getting to swing, so that last Rampager would be dead

As always, love your batreps, but your Heresy ones are just different gravy to 40K at the moment. Just a much more cinematic game.

Great armies and beautifully painted, both. With the EC Veterans and WE 2 no. despoiler units combat was a draw, but the latter have vexillas, doesnt that mean WE won that combat round?
To the non-playing, lore-ignorant, PC-focused gamer like me, it's always the quality of your opponents and the friendships between that makes the videos. Great content that I always look forward to.

Great game, the storytelling is excellent and those armies look sensational.
Nice game guys. However When those 3rd legion vets withdrew from Kharn and the boys, Kharn should have charged the land raider. Rampagers are S4 +1 for blades, +1 for Furious charge and rend on 4+. So the 6+ rends would have had an extra D3. You would have more than likely glanced it to death. Hindsight is always 20/20. :)

As far as I was aware, the butchers claws only go off if you gain the World Eater additional attack for charging and doesn't itself give an additional attack, only the extra strength. If however I am wrong, then my army just got a lot more powerful
You're right, it's just that the wording is absolutely awful on that trait, it says something like "when the models in that unit gain the extra attack from the World Eaters trait, they also get +1 strength"
Great game. As an EC player, you do a lot for the case for Phoenix Terminators - surprisingly killy. Also, I think you've found here you don't need all the Line from PotL - but you really needed the Eagle earlier! Use Maru Skara and have complete control over your reserves, it's such a strength for EC.
The Loyalists will win, even if they lose for every traitor casualty is one less traitor to stand against the emperor and every second is another second for Garro to get to Rogal Dorn

Edit: Quck rules thing, spite of the legion triggers on units that *dont* have any models with character or chosen warrior.

Awesome battle report, really like the world eaters and thinking of starting them for Horus Heresy!( new to the game). Which mark armour would you say for WE, I hear and read mkV but also a mix :/
Hey, a couple of things. 1: Feel no pains, cover and shrouded saves do not stack this edition, as they are now all a class of "damage mitigation" save. 2: Jink is gone from the game.
I think you’re mistaken about Cover Saves there, FNP and Shrouded don’t stack (because damage mitigation doesn’t stack) but Cover Saves are still saving throws.

Actually, rampagers are quite capable of opening land raiders. S 6 on the charge with rend 4+ and lots of attacks. Kind of Swiss Army power machetes

Now I want to see BA vs WE heresy!
Isn't all a units firing essentially simultaneous? So even if a Storm Eagle fires it's multi melta's 'after' it's vengeance batteries it's all theoretically at the same time? If so, wouldn't it be up to the World Eater player to allocate which was 'first'?
I came to post this. Wounds should be put into pools and then it’s the controlling players choice on which pool is allocated first.

A million points ? Is that a Joke my friend ? Iv never played Horus Heresy before but I know in Warhammer 40 000 the the average battle is like 1500 to 2000 point games were Im from. This is probably a 3k point game (standard for heresy). It was a joke about how this is only a very small part of a larger scale battle, with things like titans running around.
Can you explain why the WE Praetor gets 10 attacks? As far as I can tell it should be 8. He has 4 as base, +1 for 2 lightning claws (You don't get extra for more than 2 CCW) , then +1 for the charge, +1 For being a WE, +1 for berserker upgrade. As far as I can the Butchers Claws doesn't give everyone an additional attack, it just gives you +1S WHEN you gain a bonus attack for being a WE (i.e so basically on the charge). It's poorly written as I thought it was an extra attack as well, but it's the "," that's saying you only get the +1S when the bonus attack is being used. But I think he should *only* get 8 attacks on the charge
Ah I can see someone else mentioned the same thing further down. Though I think that didn't mention the 2 extra attacks for the lightning claws which would only be 1 extra attack
Maybe you've already found your answer, but lightning claws provide +2 attacks when paired, rather than the normal +1 for dual wielding

@@jessepigram1039 as far as I can see the rules on page 184 say you only get +1 attack for 2 weapons and more than two weapons gain no additional benefit; you only get one extra attack
@@thedarkmillennium3788 page 137 of Liber Astartes (and I assume it's the same page in Liber Hereticus) in the Armoury of the Legiones Astartes. Just above the profiles for the more exotic power weapons, it explains that you get +2 attacks for having two lightning claws instead of the usual +1 for an additional weapon

I noticed some mistakes, Thunder Hammers are -1 to hit and you forgot the Rampager Champ to charge in the Vets.
