Let’s be honest, animators that want to have more creative freedom have a way better chance on Cartoon Network than on other networks. But that does depend on who the ceo is at the time too, however it seems Cartoon Network is still the way to go either way. I think if invader zim was pitched to Cartoon Network instead of nick it would have lasted way longer and probably would have gotten more than one movie.

I dunno man, I hear a lot of creators are limited by pretty much every cartoon channel. Especially when it comes to LGBT representation, I just watched a few videos about how the creators of shows like The Owl House, The Loud House, and Steven Universe had to fight with the higher ups to have representation, even just for minor background characters. The Naive Man from Lolliland is a student short created by J.G. Quintel (creator of Regular Show) in 2005. It was aired as part of the Nicktoons Film Festival in the same year. Once Nicktoons became Nicktoons Network later the same year, they continued to air it as part of their "Short Breaks" that they used to transition one show to the next. Saw this one night at a friend's house after i'd gotten sick at his B-day party and went to sleep early, 3am or something. Never saw it again after that so I thought it was some kind of fever dream. So when I saw Pops again in Regular Show, I couldn't fucking believe my eyes.

I think this short film was supposed to highlight the pitfalls of tips, and the challenges of these pose for foreign customers with foreign currency or unused to tipping. e.g. In Australia (and the UK too I believe) people don't have to tip, and generally don't. As an Australian, I find the whole tips thing really strange, a bit antiquated, nerve-racking and somewhat forceful, but I likewise understand its ramifications as a custom and economic measure in places which still have them as mandatory.

The Naive Man from Lolliland is a student short created by J.G. Quintel (creator of Regular Show) in 2005. It was aired as part of the Nicktoons Film Festival in the same year. Once Nicktoons became Nicktoons Network later the same year, they continued to air it as part of their "Short Breaks" that they used to transition one show to the next. Quintel really enjoyed the character in this short and decided to make him a permanent character on his show "Regular Show" which premiered 5 years later on Cartoon Network. I just uploaded this 2016.
The film was made in 2005 and this was uploaded in 2016 dumbass

I think this short film was supposed to highlight the pitfalls of tips, and the challenges of these pose for foreign customers with foreign currency or unused to tipping. e.g. In Australia (and the UK too I believe) people don't have to tip, and generally don't. As an Australian, I find the whole tips thing really strange, a bit antiquated, nerve-racking and somewhat forceful, but I likewise understand its ramifications as a custom and economic measure in places which still have them as mandatory.
